We needed to replace a mattress for our bedroom after I had back surgery not too long ago and realized that our old, very soft one, started creating issues and pain and my doctor said to get a firmer one. This one did the trick. It showed up quickly and was in good shape, and it was well protected in the packaging. It was also easy to take out of the box and vacuum bag, and it was fully risen overnight. It also didn't have that vinegar smell that the mattress we bought for our son last year had, which is nice. It also didn't have any smells like chemicals from the foam, which was also nice. The materials and workmanship look top-notch as well, so it seems pretty well made too. I would say that the firmness level is a nice medium or even a firm medium, so you get both comfort and support at the same time, which is perfect for someone with my needs. ... show more

Now that the kids are mid teens, I needed something for the 'wood shed', if you know what I mean, for when I am 'chopping wood'. I ordered this for my Jeep Gladiator bed, and had to cut it to size. That was a fight and I had to make a custom tool for the cutting - I had a carpet cutting knife and sharpened the outside of the curve so I could carve the mattress without the knife hanging up on it. Now I know what surgeons feel like as they cut through layers of fat. This is a very comfortable mattress and I've fallen asleep on it a couple of times, which is good because as luck would have it, that is another designed use of the mattress. We ordered this mattress for our son's college apartment. It came in a box which made it easy to move into the apartment. I took pictures of it in the box and then out of the box but still rolled to show how it is easy to move. I also took a picture showing what it looks like when it is first unrolled. It is pretty flat at first. It comes with a nice plastic cutter to help you unseal the plastic without damaging the mattress. I appreciate that a lot. I also took a picture of the mattress once it expanded. We still don't have a frame or boxspring yet but I wanted to show how the mattress looked at each stage. It is a nice mattress. I don't know if I got a dud or what, but the mattress I received never expanded to full height. Took it out of the packaging and left it out for a full weekend. Still flat. Too bad, because the materials seemed good.

The mattress itself is just fine, a good quality, looks nice, expands well, practically no smell upon opening, and is well packaged. The only problem is this is definitely a 9-inch mattress, and I measured it several times in several places (including the middle) to be absolutely sure. It's reasonably comfortable too, it is medium-firm, but has some give too. If you use mattress toppers, this thing is effectively exactly what you'd want. If they just advertised this as a 9-inch mattress, I'm sure they would get much better reviews, especially for it's current price. ... show more
