If anything is missing this covers the major majority of what is needed. You have a wonderful spring-loaded frame grabber, and smoker to calm the bees (but no smoke fuel). The smoker if of outstanding metal quality and build. The bellows are of suede leather and are soft for pumping smoke! No need to break it in. Although I am not into making queens yet, it does have three queen-holding clips and a queen marker holder for holding the queen while you apply the color dot on her to denote the year she was born. I do not remember all of the colors but this is good for four years as Green is. 2024, Red is 2025 and I am not sure of the Blue and Yellow. You can always look that part up. The pens are NOT activated so you get to push the first ink through as it has a spring-loaded tip. Very nice characteristic. You can store these longer until it is time and then use them as regular markers later. The hive tool is sharp and thick with a nice dipped handle. In my opinion, the brush is incorrect but do your research as many say that synthetic brushes are less provoking for the bees compared to real horse hair bristles. Probably due to the odor, pheromones or just being a predator because it is from an animal. There is even a decapping tool that has an angled design. Amazing deal for about the price of a decent smoker alone. I highly recommend this product kit. It's like one-stop shopping. Buy it! You will love it! Buy one for your friend or helper too Oh, and remember that the disk in the bottom of the smoker needs to have the three punched-out legs bent out to mimic table legs as this is the table that supports the smoke producing product. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It is a highly competitive product priced at $29.99, and it is on point at its usual price of $35.99. The marking bottle for the queen bee was a bit sticky and needed to be used repeatedly to make it easier to use before marking the Queen to avoid unintentionally hurting her. The marking clips are as expected, and three are included, so there are backups should one break. They are gentle, and there is enough space at the opening that no harm will come to the Queen. The beehive grip is easy to hold, takes little strength to control, and has the frames well. The fork and j-hook are thick metals and easy to clean and handle. The brush comprises soft bristles, so brushing the bees can be done safely. The markers are similar to paint markers, which must be shaken and the felt tip pumped to get the fluorescent ink to the tip. I did not use them in the video because I didn't want the color to dry up prematurely. Finally, the smoker. The metal is similar to a tea kettle, handling heat and smoke well. I struggled to open and close the thing, which may or may not be good. The bellow pump is good quality. I was impressed. At first glance, it almost looked like paper, but it was thick and felt nearly waterproof (I'm unfamiliar with fabrics).     • Once you have this kit, all you need is a bee box, bee suit, and bees!
I have been keeping bees for five years. I got this kit to have some duplicates of the tools, I need to keep bees. All of these items are good quality and very functional, you won't "bee" disappointed. Good stuff!
