I'm starting an Etsy bracelet making bracelet and this has been the perfect starting kit! I have not had any problems with the quality of string, and enjoy working with it. The gold and silver is a little thicker and harder to work with but still great! The threader did break on me but aside from that everything has been great quality. The gold and silver string is STUNNING. I have not really used the pens and had to toss them, so if your traveling be aware to not have them in there because they can leak. Its smaller than you think but there is a LOT of string and beautiful color choices. 1000% worth it, if your thinking about it, get it. The clippers also work great! Left a mason jar for sizing lmao. This is perfect. The only thing missing is a hoop and fabric. It's super small, but packs a ton of stuff into it! I love how organized it is, as well as the number of tools included that I wasn't even counting on. Wide variety of colors, super fun for home, travel, etc.

This set is great for a beginner. It has almost everything one needs to launch into a lifetime love of embroidery. (As stated, the set does not include fabric, hoops or instructions.) The box is sturdy and a very convenient place for storing all the tools. DMC is the gold standard brand of embroidery floss. The floss included in this set is nice but it is NOT DMC quality. For most people, that will not be a problem. Beautiful items can be produced using the floss in this set. I bought this to cure some Pandemic boredom, mostly for taking a walk down nostalgia-lane by making friendship bracelets.. I was really happy with what I received for the price - I spent a lot more buying embroidery floss separately, AND had to wind it onto the bobbins myself. I will agree that the kit isn't super sturdy, but I had low expectations for the cost, and it serves it's purpose perfectly - I've had no issues with mine. There are so many nice colors to make bracelets, and the thread may not be great for sewing / cross-stitching, etc, but it works well for what I needed :-) The fact that the thread is already wound onto the bobbins increased the value of this kit greatly :-) And I have no idea what I'll do with all of the little tools that came with it, but it's definitely waking the creativity in me...
