For the quick readers: This microphone is excellent and it is worth your money. Go ahead and purchase it! For everyone else: I purchased this microphone for my GoPro Hero 10 so I can film motorcycle videos. I am extremely surprised at the quality of this microphone. For 33 smackeroonies, I can firmly say that this blew away my expectations. I wish it had better noise cancellation, but that is my being picky. It cancels noise about 85%-90% of what I would like it to do, but for the price, I cannot complain. It can pick up my voice on a motorcycle traveling at 80+ MPH on the interstate, so it's good.     • Impressive little microphone!
I got this to attach to a Rode wireless go 2 to hopefully reduce clipping. I'm using this in a motorcycle helmet so I taped the mic right behind the cheek pad and then ran the wire around to the back of the helmet to plug it in to the Rode. My helmet has a spot to tuck the wiring up when I'm not using the mic so that's nice. It took some playing around to get the placement correct and everything but I am very impressed with it. It sounds great. I'm partially wireless now but my audio levels are a million times better. Thankfully this kit comes with a TRS adapter that is needed for the Rode. 10/10 highly recommend for using inside a motorcycle helmet. For the price, this thing is incredible. ... show more

It looked like it was well made there are a lot of one star ratings but I gave it a try. I returned it so I wouldn’t miss the window. I may repurchase it again because I replaced my media mod it was new but the jack would not hold the plug tight. I did order a different brand that was advertised as a motovlog mic.     • Great lavalier mic for a fair price
I got this lavalier mic after my prior one started getting pops and crackles. Had this since late 2019 and it has far outlasted my prior brand. I have been using this with my old smart phone to capture audio for my YouTube videos. Does a great job for a budget mic. So if you can't bite the bullet and buy the more expensive audio options that run $100+, this is a great alternative to improve sound quality over built in mic setups on most camera's. Keep in mind this will not be super high quality, but the wind socks this comes with do a much better job than I would have expected out of a $30 setup. After several events and many trips packing and unpacking the sound quality still hasn't broken down or degraded. I have definitely been impressed by the quality of sound you get for a ~$30 product. The cord length is good, it comes with an extension cord, adapters and it also comes with 2 styles of windsock(the usual foamy style and a 'deadcat' style sock). The wind socks do a pretty good job of getting rid of wind noise and other small background noises, but it's not perfect. I use a standard plug on my phone, so haven't needed the adapters. I would expect the adapters work, but I'll let someone who has used them comment on that part. I can definitely say this was well worth the price and if I'm not ready to upgrade to a zoom setup by the time this dies, I would buy another. ... show more

    • Budget Friendly, Quality Mic, Great Company!
This is way better than I was expecting! You can feel the quality in every piece. The mic & clip, although small, are solid & tough, not that cheap plasticy feeling like the ones you break just by trying to put them on.. The wire is super thin & becomes invisible quickly with just a little distance, & it's nice quality on the ends. The plugs look like they might be gold electro-coated for better contact & no corrosion, giving the audio signal a perfect path to my devices! And I can tell because the sound quality is great! Way better than expected. But WAIT..... It doesn't stop there !! Besides the great little Purple Panda Velor Satchel/ Cool bag to store or carry it in, in the box there was a note welcoming the buyer, & offering a free gift! All I had to do was go to their page, & claim it! This is a great little company on their way up. I'm glad I happened upon their product, & am now a loyal customer. I'd recommend buying anything from Purple Panda because other than the great deal, you'll get the treatment & service that only a smaller company can offer as you're not lost in a crowded sea of others..     • Amazing lapel mic for the price!!!!
I bought one Purple Panda mic to try out since the cost was so cheap. I really didn't think that it would be all that great because it was so cheap, but I have to say that this is truly an amazing mic. For a lav mic that's made for a phone, it really makes things easy and I don't have to worry about losing signal, no matter how far the person is. Because of how surprised I was about how well this mic worked, I bought two more. This is my go to mic from now on. Great product, pretty good material quality, great sound and for the price, you can't go wrong. If you are starting out filming or whatever and you don't have a lapel mic yet, Purple Panda would be my recommendation to start off with.     • Surprisingly good
I should have found this before I bought my first 2 mics for my go pro. I use it to record the sound of my motorcycle during the ride. No popping and cracking sound even on freeway going over 80 mph. Im very satisfied. I highly recommend it.
