  • Good quality and value for the money. Great customer service from manufacturer!
Size: 12' X 14' w/Balls Color: Navy Blue
This product is well designed and well made. There are some tricks to putting it together, keep reading. We bought this on AMZ from the manufacturer, Purple Leaf, which was great to work with. They answered questions quickly and even sent a supplementary video showing it being built. It arrived in 5 (about 100lb each) boxes over two days via FedEx Ground. No damage, packed very well There are no line by line instructions but instead a large booklet with adequate diagrams. Study these carefully as there is a lot of detail there pointing out little places where different screws go. We found it helpful to use small trays and egg crates to sort the parts and have them readily available - they come shrink wrapped on cardboard. KEEP the little numbers identifying the part with that part. Many screws look similar but are different! This is important. You will see people talking about the difficulty of installing the roof panels and yes, that was the hardest part. We left most of the assembly screws loose to help with this but that only helped a little. The instructions say to install the middle sections first - we missed this and struggled to get the middles in later. One pain point is the plastic clips you put on the edges of the roof panels before sliding them into the groove at the top. The metal is slippery, the plastic is slippery and they kept falling off trying to get them in. We finally used packing tape to hold them on and that worked. This is definitely a two-person job, three would be better at certain stages. We got it together over 4 days, might have been able to do it in three long days so plan accordingly. There are a lot of screws and steps to do it. Its a 63 page manual to give you a clue. We have it lag screwed to our redwood deck, I fear this is not enough in our high wind zone in Colorado so will be anchoring it better. Manufacturer told me its rated to 40 MPH winds but to 50 MPH if anchored in concrete. The manual shows you how to anchor right at the beginning. Be patient, go slow, double check which part goes where and it will come together. I love the finish on it - its a dappled brown and black metal that really looks classy as opposed to others with a matte finish. The fabric curtains and screens are extremely good quality also. Don't hesitate to ask Purple Leaf for help if needed! ... show more

  • Wonderful Product
Size: 10' X 13' Color: Navy Blue
Great gazebo, everything was marked and organized. Was easy to put together until the roof. You will need some help. But very sturdy and well made. Great design in how things are made and go together. Directions are sometimes a little hard to understand. But would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful addition to their backyard. ... show more

  • Really nice gazebo
Size: 12' X 14' w/Balls Color: Khaki
This thing is well thought out and goes together very well. Instructions are in picture form and some of the zoomed in pictures could be better and larger as some of the detail is really hard to see. My dislike is that the curtain and screen slide it way too close together and impossible to move one without having to mess with the other, especially if trying to tie them open. The simple hook latch of the screen to the vertical uprights doesn't hold very well. Overall I love the look and how well it is made and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a quality gazebo. ... show more

  • Instructions could have been a little more narative instead of just pictures.
It was a bit intimidating when I looked in my driveway to see 5 large boxes leaning on my garage door but never the less I took on the challenge. I needed a little help from family members to get the main structure up (columns and cross beams). I had no idea how to start the roof having built half on the ground only to realize it was too heavy for me to lift high enough to attach. So I disassembled most of it and used a very high "A" ladder and "shimmied" the center section over the ladder and attach the center rail to the beam by the house. Again a little paragraph of " how to start the roof" would have been helpful here. Once I attached the center cross member on the outer beam I was able to add the rest with a little wrangling as the holes were sometimes difficult to line up while connecting one side at a time. The labeling of the parts was good with one exception and again a warning would have been good here to make sure the center "N" beam has the hole towards the top and in the middle of the 3. One of mine was miss labeled and I had to take apart the roof and switch the two "N" supports with half the sheathing already on. Which brings me to another point. The little sheathing on the top roof has to go on first obviously or you can't reach it. Seems the left side and front of the sheathing was in one box while the right side and back was in another. So both boxes had to be opened to fish for all the sheathing for the top roof. It would have been better to put all of the top roof in one box. A note to indicate leave the top piece loose would have been good to know because I had to loosen it to get the sheathing in. Also the boxes could have had instruction labels indicating which to open first, second and so on. Make sure you have an allen bit electric screw driver because there are a lot of screws and nuts to tighten. Also there is a part where you seal the gutter and they provide sealant in a small tube which fell out of a bag well after I had already bought and used my own. Theirs looks like a box of toothpaste and is in Chinese so you have an Idea what it is. After the parts start dwindling and you have an "oh yea" moment. In closing, once I got momentum it went pretty easy with only a couple of hard to reach screws. Although I did most of it myself over several days, I believe two to three people dedicated to complete it could get it done in two weekends or less. It really is a thing of beauty compared to the "rag tops" I was replacing every two years. I can also run a heater underneath without worrying that the roof will catch on fire. It seems very sturdy and once I finish bolting it into my concrete patio it will be safe from blowing away. The advertised says it holds up to snow and that's why I chose it, though I still plan on blowing of as much snow as I can when it does snow. I would have given this a five star rating if it weren't for the recommendations I listed herein. If you are torn (pun intended) between a rag top and this, go with this. The extra money you spend on this would have been spent replacing your rag to every two years or so. Can't wait till spring six months away! ... show more
