Since my dog is small, I actually break these smaller bites in half and put them in a container. She gets one each time she has a bowel movement as her treat. I don’t feed Lizzie a lot of treats. Instead of a “cookie” monster, I have created a “treat” monster. This is one of our dog’s favorite treats. I wanted to teach her to shake my hand, so I would tap her front leg and when it was in my hand, I would say shake … good girl, pretty girl and then break off a piece … she would sniff it and snarf it down (that’s why I feed it to her in pieces). Anyway, now she sits by my feet and “pathetically” looks up at me until I motion for her to jump up beside me on the couch. As soon as she jumps up, she now (as she looks into my eyes) puts her paw on my arm and then my hand to shake. I say good girl, pretty girl and give her a piece. She eats it and does it again until now I hold up both of my hands and say all gone, no more. Otherwise, I think she’d eat the whole bag. LOL ... show more

So, Why is it hard to review? Same as any other thing I buy as a present. You buy it and hope the recipient at LEAST uses whatever it was. Then that random Day that whoever it was for mentions it offhandedly, they made your YEAR! So dog treats are a special sort of problem. You know because they can't talk and all that. That being said... randomly, my dog will run into the kitchen... state at the treats, and usually whine. When that doesn't work he comes to see me... lays down and cries under his breath! Lol So are they good? I have no idea. But they smell great and I kind if want to try them. All I know is that my dog wants them REALLY BAD! That is worth 5 stars to me! ... show more
