I am very happy with these green houses. I now have 3. They are quite sturdy considering how light weight they are. But the sturdiness is due in part to how tight the tubes fit into the plastic sockets. It takes considerable force to get them fully seated but do not tap them in with any kind of hammer like I first did. At this price, I wasn't expecting much. I would not have been surprised if the plastic parts were brittle or flimsy and the metal parts no better than trying to build something from a roll of tin foil. So, I'm pleased to report that this little rack is quite tough enough for light duty use. My use case was definitely not what the product designers had envisioned: I'm using it to create a place where I can trap heat and humidity to cure root vegetables as they come in from the garden. I do not use it to display or grow plants outside, but I can see why its light weight would be problematic in windy areas. But at this price, I can't see how it would even be possible to ship something heavy. ... show more

Because the product is so fragile, it broke in 3 different places during assembly. The bars were very tight and difficult to get into holes. I did not use any tools and the plastic frame still broke 3 different times when trying to insert the bar/rod into hole. Instructions were minimal. With duct tape, I was able to secure the rack, but I will not be able to disassemble for summer storage, which was one of the biggest attractions of this particular unit for me. 3 of the thin plastic shelf holders came broken. Cheaply made from thin plastic so you have to be delicate when assembling to prevent further damage. Managed to repair the broken pieces with Gorilla Duck Tape and a few zip ties. When all assembled it is surprisingly sturdy / stable. The wire shelves came sorta bent out of shape and don’t sit flat on the shelf bars. Some strategic zip ties managed to flatten them out a bit.     • Easy Assembly But Cheap Lights

The assembly was easy and the unit is okay quality for the price. The biggest issue was the quality of the lights. Upon arrival two of the lights were not working, and the only solution was to get a whole new unit. After three days of use, another light stopped working. Additionally, if you are growing seedlings the lights are not strong enough; you have to raise up the seedling trays to avoid leggy seedlings, so that is disappointing. One of the advantages of this unit was that it came with the lights, and they have proved to be very disappointing. ... show more

I think this might be ok for indoor use. If used outside I doubt it will hold up very long. The shelves don’t attach to the flimsy frame so I will have to zip tie them to keep the shelves that arrived bent from flopping around when plants are moved in and out
