I just recieved my pure enrichment steamer XL today. Initially set up was quick and easy so thats a plus. I was able to steam 3 sports coat and 2 pair of dress pants on a single tank. I consider that a win as I probably could've done more as I become more efficient with further use. I do wish there was an on off switch or pause type button on the hand piece itself so I didn't have to bend over in between garments. I have 3 curious kids that if I leave something like this steaming while I get the next, they will mess with it. Also wish there was maybe a high low type toggle for amount of steam. Overall did the job to refresh in between wears so I dont have to dryclean as often. ... show more

    • Sterling Steamer!
I live in a rural area and as a result most of our clothes are purchased online. When they arrive, they have embedded wrinkles that can be tedious to iron. So I feel uniquely qualified to review a fabric steamer. I ordered the PureSteam XL as a replacement for a similar standing fabric steamer that I had given away. I have used it for approximately 5 hours total over the course of several days. I am very pleased with this steamer. Assembly was pretty easy. High praise coming from me as a mechanically challenged individual. The instructions could be improved in one respect. There was nothing I could find to explain how to join the hangar attachment to the device. This is probably because it would be obvious to most others. I posted a question on the Amazon listing for the steamer and several kind people explained that you simply slip it over the raised groove of the slot provided for when you use your own hangar. Other reviews mentioned leaking as an issue. I did experience a bit of leaking. Nothing major and it did not leak each time. It has not diminished my enthusiasm. One of the features I thought was superior to my prior steamer was the design of the reservoir. It sits flush on the mechanism and does not protrude from behind. This steamer does not take up much space when in use or when stored. I had my doubts about how many minutes of steaming I would get out of each fill. The reservoir looks small. I was happily surprised to discover I could steam for a full 45 minutes. I actually timed it to confirm. You need to be cautious about not running the steamer once the reservoir has emptied. There is no alarm function and it is not immediately apparent when the reservoir has emptied. You can see your water line when the steamer is half full, but eventually you cannot see whether there is water remaining. I solved this by checking the reservoir between garments. I gently lifted the reservoir just a tiny bit and could tell if I had enough water to proceed. The instructions correctly advise that the steamer head should not get too low. If your garment is long, try folding the garment or use a chair or similar item to raise up the bottom portion. Then proceed to the higher portions when done. Lastly, the method for quickly lowering the telescoping rod of the steamer makes storage simple. The instructions provide good advice on how to store the hose to prevent damage. In short, I am glad I gave away my prior steamer so that this one came into my life. Going to look for a mini version for travel. ... show more

    • Get job done
First time using the steamer after I received it few days ago. It was easy to assemble and use. The size is small so it doesn’t occupy much space. It is easy to move around as it is on wheels and light weight. It will be better if I can see the water level of the steamer so that I know when I should add water. I am not sure if I didn’t do it right because the dress shirts aren’t straight enough after I steamed them when comparing with a traditional iron. We are very pleased with the PureSteam XL Standing Steamer. It was very easy to assemble; the 45 second wait time from powering on to being able to steam is true. The unit is small enough that it tucks away in a corner and is easily rolled out for use on my hardwood floors. Suggestions for potential improvement It seems that either the steam could be hotter or be pushing out more forcefully. I have to pass over the wrinkles several times slowly. It seems that the steam doesn't penetrate the fabric as effectively as it could. ... show more
