The pull-up bar can be very sturdy as long as you have a few sandbags on the base to prevent it from rocking back-and-forth. It comes with these grips that you have to wrap around the bar and they're not the best quality. I would personally buy some other ones that are more adhesive. Other than that, it's a great bar. Easy to set up, clean look, stable base, easy to adjust, and all-in-all gets the job done! There is a little wobble when you use the bar, but it comes from the top piece that you hang onto (that is raised via the adjustment holes), you feel completely safe because the base itself is solid. I chose to not use the grip tape provided, but know if you do that the gloss finish that you hold onto is slick. Lastly, I'm a little over 6' tall, and use the system on the highest setting. My feet are JUST off the ground as I grab the bar and hang, with your body position piked during a pull-up I would presume you could be about 6.5' before you would want equipment that was taller. ... show more

I bought this to start doing pullups and chinups. I've had ir for a few months, and it's been holding up pretty well. It was dairly easy to build, but it stays in my basement because it's too big for my room. Very sturdy. I like the wraps it came with but they were slipping so I don't recommend putting them on the bar unless you reinforce it with some tape, which is what I did. After re-painting the trim in our home it was time to move on from my Iron Gym doorframe pull-up bar. I researched many standalone power towers online and decided to go with the Bongkim branded one due to a combination of price and the wide base looking like it would offer more stability than a narrow tower. I am quite pleased with this purchase. I did the assembly just by myself and found it to be easy. The station is quite stable when in use. I am 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. There is barely any forward/backward flex in this station when doing chin ups or pull ups on it. I feel more secure on this than on my old Iron Gym doorframe bar, actually. As you can see from the image I have completed my setup with some EVA foam mats, and a pair of gymnastic rings so I can do dips. The only negative I have to point out about this product is that the included wrap-around grip tape stuff is junk. It starts to come unwrapped after one workout session. The bare bar is grippy enough if your hands are a bit callused, however weight lifting gloves provide a perfect solution for those looking for a bit more grip. Holistically this was not a big enough downside to subtract from the rating as what matters to me with this product is stability and durability above all else. It has been 6 months of ownership with this product and using it 4-5 times per week, and it has held up to my expectations and continued use with zero issues. ... show more
