Set up was very simple and straight forward. I was able to get set up in about ten minutes. I’m sure future set up will be even quicker now that I know what’s what. Once I figured out the humidifier, I had a slight hiccup with the tubing that transfers the steam from the machine, into the tent. BE SURE TO GET THE HOSES ON TIGHT!! It’s a bit of a struggle to get them on, but be sure to push them all the way in in both sides. They popped out mid test and, I steamed my room for about 3 minutes until I realized the steam stopped inside the tent lol. But man, when I finally got things going properly this completely exceeded my expectations! I prefer things hotter than most, and this tent gave me a better sweat than I get from the gym. I got out, hopped in the shower, and slept like a baby lol. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while. P.S the tent is very spacious on the inside.     • Nice home sauna, could be warmer though
This portable steam sauna was fairly easy to put together and can be done by one person. It is only slightly difficult to pull the cover over after assembling the pole frame, just make sure to tightly connect the poles together so that the cover can zip together. Attaching the steam machine and steam box to the sauna is also easy, then you’re ready to fill the steamer and enjoy. I was able to do this indoors in my living room, no problem. The steamer has 9 steam/heat levels, and it recommends to start on level 5, although I found I liked level 9 the best. It took about 10-15 minutes before the steamer was heated enough to begin steaming the sauna, so definitely get everything setup and running before you actually want to get in, or you’ll be stuck waiting around. The steamer also has a timer setting which is nice, though you can only do up to an hour, but that is plenty for me. There is a remote for the steamer, but it kind of sucks and cannot be used while inside the sauna. In fact, I had to be within 2 feet of the steamer for the remote to work, so I might as well just manually push the button. I suppose if the steamer is right outside the sauna door you could just slightly unzip the sauna cover and reach out just a hand to use the remote without needing to feel around for the steamer buttons, but it’s basically useless. Like I mentioned I ended up going straight to level 9, and I wish it could go even higher. I would say it got up to about what I imagined/wanted level 6 or 7 to feel like. It says to keep the steam box 40cm away from you, but I was able to huddle around the steam box (not too close though or you’ll burn from the steam) which helped a lot and made it feel like a level 8 should. By only staying the recommended distance from the steam box I felt like I was getting warm and just kind of accumulating the steam on my body, but by getting closer I was actually able to build up a good sweat. Having the chair inside is nice, though it isn’t super comfortable, and also I ended up sitting on the floor at times to get closer to the steam box. I was able to stand up fully inside the box and my head only raised the top cover slightly (I’m 6’2”, so anyone shorter than 6’ can definitely stand up fully). I kind of wish it was smaller though, by about 1.5-2 ft. I think it would get warmer if it was smaller, and since you’re sitting the whole time you don’t really need the standing room. Also note that I was using this indoors. I also tried it outdoors in freezing weather and it did not get warm enough to enjoy. As far as cleaning goes, I just kind of let the sauna box air out for a few hours and used a rag to clean the water coming out of the steam box. I also emptied the steamer and removed the tubes and steamer box to let them air out. If you were going to keep it up for an extended period and use it regularly you could probably get away with leaving stuff connected and just cleaning it all periodically. ... show more
