I Love this mat I use it every time I play VR. I own a Quest 3 and PSVR2 and this mat allows me to move around the virtual world without leaving the bounds of the circle. Games like Thrill of the Fight, a boxing game, or Blade and sorcery, a fantasy magic fighting game, maybe a little harder to play since they may require you to actually move to avoid getting hit, so I do sometimes step off the mat. Other than that, every game i played, even the PCVR games work perfectly with this mat and keeps you in the playspace. I usually play with shoes on to keep traction but with socks or barefoot, this mat is so comfortable, it’s pretty thick although the yellow and blue things that pop out sometimes get in the way. I have the mat on a hardwood floor so it doesn’t slide or anything no matter what I do. My only issue with this product was the price. I feel that its a very quality product but should have been priced at $30-40, i feel that being that its just a mat that +60$ is a bit steep. Its durable and will last despite excessive use great for anyone with a small area. ... show more

ad this mat for almost a year now and it's held up great! saw some reviews claiming it was falling apart for them, not sure what they're doing on their mat other then basic VR gaming because mine shows no wear or tear whatsoever been averaging 3 to 4hrs a day of use between my daughter 7 myself wear usually bare foot or wearing socks when using it, works great at keeping you within the boundaries, and it's also very comfortably padded which is a nice touch. I use this all the time to keep myself centered in my room during a VR session. It allows me to turn my body and move more naturally instead of being stiff and relying on artificial controls.

    • Avoid fatigue AND collateral damage...
Tired of wandering all over your living room while using your VR headset? Don't want to inadvertently punch your expensive TV? ProxiMat may be your answer. It's made of .5 inch rubber. Nicely textured so you won't slip while standing on it. It has a hard disc in the middle and front of the mat to help you stay centered in your playing area. Though the photo shows him wearing shoes, I would recommend playing in socks or barefoot. It's easier to feel the surface that way. It comes with Velcro for the back, if you're going to be on a carpeted surface. I didn't find it necessary on mine. But maybe I'm just not playing the high-energy games. In any case, it seemed to lessen the fatigue of standing in one place, and definitely kept me and my electronics safe. Would definitely recommend. As a side note, our cat seems really drawn to it. This mat is very well made and really gives you piece of mind in your play space. I was concerned that it would not stay in place well on my carpeted floor. However, it's heavy enough to stay in place. Using the included velcro stickies helps keep it in place even better. I ordered the Theo 35" model twice. The Theo model is circular version. However, I was sent the Elite 35" model twice, which is horseshoe shaped. The sealed bag which it was packed in has an orange sticker with the Theo description and barcode. I reached out to the seller, WholesaleOnline, who was quick to correct the issue. Apparently, Amazon mislabeled the stock they had. If you have an orange label on the black plastic packaging, this is Amazon's label. Make sure you are receiving the model you ordered. ... show more

    • Great for controlling how much you move around in VR
When using a VR headset, running into walls, or punching lamps is pretty common. Even if you make a good boundary, the immersion will have you making mistakes. This matt is a great mitigation strategy for that problem. The matt is nice and cushy, and you can definitely feel it taper as you get near the edges. This tactile indicator lets you know when you are moving out of your safe zone. Even through the immersion of your favorite VR experience, you'll detect the edges of the matt and move back to the center. This matt has been key for keeping me safe while using VR. First the good: + Very comfortable to stand on for a long time. Now the bad: - Strong chemical smell. - The buttons are huge and you can literally trip on the center one while in VR. It happened to me. You can remove them but then you have ugly holes in the mat... Also they dont stick to the velcro and pop out very often. Very bad design choices here. ... show more
