  • Workd good after figuring out the problem
Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU Style: Propane
I installed the unit and had no hot water. After watching a couple of online videos and reaing the manual. I figured out the igniter wire had came disconnected during shipping. Connected the wire and works great. We will see about durability. I'm only feeding 3 sources now. I have 3 more discharge points to connect. I will update later. ... show more

  • Great for the first few months then a constant failure
Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU Style: Propane
Purchased afew years ago and it worked great for the first few months no issues, the for some reason or another it would give an E8 fault. And we would have to reset it time and again. For a while we have used a leaf blower to encourage it to run. But even that wasn't enough. I have reached out tho fogatti a couple times, and they seem very helpful but never sent the requested information or even offered to replace or repair the faulty unit. I wasn't expecting perfection but at least a little reliability would be appreciated. Unfortunately this heater has left use cold. ... show more

  • Nice upgrade
Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU Style: Propane
We updated our water heater because the old one was no longer working. This seems to have improved our water pressure. It has weird moments of cold spurts of water overall works well.

  • We found that setting the temp. at 120 degrees works fine. Setting lower runs out of hot water.
Material Type: 6.3GPM 145,000BTU Style: Propane
The space saving, the LP savings, the economic reasoning is sound. I t does require a Plumber with gas hookup ability - or a plumber and gas man to install it. This is not really a DYF project. We were not familiar with this brand, but research showed this to be a very good product with good reliability and at a good price. I had been advised to go for more than a 5.5 GPM unit for two people. This seems to be good advice. We are delighted with this unit so far. ... show more

  • Well, it works, now.
Material Type: 7.5GPM 170,000BTU Style: Propane
Pros 1. Can use standard type b 3" venting like a standard water heater with a tank. 2. Easy to install.* 3. Slim profile. Looks nice. Cons 1. No customer support from Fogatti. Yeah, I tried 2 different numbers 3 times during their listed business hours went to dead lines every time and not even a response from their email address. I wish this wasn't true as it makes me concerned for when it eventually breaks. 2. It takes a couple seconds for the heater to see water flow and start. (Expect cold water for a few seconds at the faucet no matter where you are located.) 3. Hot water temperature can vary several degrees as different burners ignite. 4. Would not start at first due to ignitor wiring falling off as it is a very loose connection. 5. Would still error on code E1 even after connecting the ignitor as the spark was incorrectly located and had inconsistent ignition. It needed to be about 4mm more into the unit. (If there was no insulation between the furnace and the ignitor it would have been positioned almost correctly.) Tip: you can use a stainless steel hose clamp to secure the vent. ... show more
