  • Great non-name brand!!
Material Type: 7.5 GPM, White Style: Propane
The media could not be loaded. I can’t say enough good things about this propane water heater. I’ve had it installed for several months now, and it has always worked. It reduces the amount of flame when you call for low temperatures or less water demand, but it’s fully capable of putting out scalding water. I have it set to 120° and that is plenty hot for us. I was having the house painted, and the guys covered the intake/export vent on the outside unbeknownst to us, and the safety features prevented the unit from firing up. Didn’t get my shower, but it turned out fine. When it was uncovered, the unit returned to perfectly normal operation. No resetting faults or anything. It was very easy to hook up and had ample instructions, though it did not come with the valves on the bottom. I had to purchase those extra, as well as the gas connections. At less than half what most name brand products cost, this is an exceptional value. Only heating water when you need it saves money on fuel cost as well. The diagram indicates it would be scary to open this thing up to service something, but the way it’s been working so far, I hopefully will never need to. It does need a 110v power outlet to plug into for ignition and computer components, but I’ve been able to power it with an inverter/generator so even in times of no power, you can still have hot water…. provided you have a generator:) I’m considering another for the other house where I have a tank full of hot water sitting all the time. The space I would save I could add a stack unit washer and dryer in that closet too. It’s very quiet as well, about the noise level of a microwave running, so putting it in an interior home closet won’t wake the neighbors….or kids. Very pleased with this purchase!! ... show more

  • Temp is not accurate. Will Scald you! Do not buy. Set @105 and puts out up to 145. Watch video!
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Natural Gas tankless water heater last year. From the beginning it would overheat every time. The temp will go over the set point almost 30 degrees and scald you. I keep it set at a low 105 and if I do not run two sinks at a time the output will soar to 140 degrees. Then it will shut off and give cold water before it starts back again. I complained to the tech support many times. They had me turn the gas valve in half flow. No difference. They sent me a video on how to remove the cover and adjust the gas regulator inside the unit as low as it would go to choke down the burner. That did not work either. I have asked them to send me whatever part that controls the temperature output. The temperature setting on the front of the unit is useless as the unit should cut off at the set temperature. Not 25 to 40 degrees above the set point. We have two heaters in our house and this one is for our kitchen, guest bath and laundry room. If you use a faucet at half water pressure it will not even come on. It is either cold or too hot to use. We are constantly adjusting the faucet up and down when bathing our pet to keep from scalding him. Now it has been over a year and they could care less that the problem was never fixed. At least our other heater is a tank and works great for showers. ... show more

  • Good so far
Material Type: 7.5 GPM, Gray Style: Natural Gas
So far so good, but the real test is how long it lasts. Feels solid and well-designed, so it's odd that the instructions are so horrible. I'm talking literally word-salad at times, with many half-sentences that make no sense at all, as if they decided to just publish a mock-up of the booklet before finishing the writing. But it's not rocket science when the unit is working, so you can probably figure everything out, but you'll need extra luck (or help) if you have unusual questions or problems. The brass-colored metals at the bottom of the unit are actually kind of cheap, but mostly the unit feels sturdy. I have gotten no error codes yet after more than a week of use. For the price, it seems a good four-star purchase, assuming it lasts for some years. ... show more

  • Great customer service
I honestly didn’t expect to get someone on the phone so easily to help me diagnose the problem. They are also sending out a new motherboard for me, even two years after I bought the equipment. This company is clearly trying to establish a good reputation.

  • Piece of junk
Material Type: 7.5 GPM, Gray Style: Natural Gas
The only reason I gave this a one is because there are no 0. We bought this in May of 2022 and have nothing but constant problems. We are constantly having to reset it, which took forever to figure out because there are no instructions and first two calls no one really knew what to do. Finally got someone who knew what they were talking about on the 3rd or 4th call. It’s actually worked with no problems for the past 5 months and is right back to cold water all the time. Also, the screen on the tank is literally falling out. It’s not like it’s kept in a spot people are around, it’s pretty secluded where we have it hooked up. Because of what a piece of junk it is we are having to buy a new one with this one only being 2.5 yrs old. Definitely STAY AWAY from this product! ... show more
