Definitely need two people to assemble to hold up pieces. Some of the instruction was difficult to understand and some of the screws were hard to line up with the holes but with a little adjustment we finally got at least one chair fully assembled without incident. The other chair while assembled has one screw that never fully fit but the chair still works. The set is VERY sturdy and very nice/clean looking. Cushion is comfortable and can be replaced with something thicker if needed. The chairs are nice and wide and sometimes bigger can enjoy them. We did lots of research looking for quality and practical but simple patio furniture after we built our deck. We found the reviews for this set were the best. I always take note about the assembly especially. So I was surprised that my husband had trouble assembling this. The screws kept stripping out on him and they were in hard to reach places. He ended up going to the hardware store to purchase new screws. Once we got passed that, as you can see the furniture is awesome, very sturdy. I love the wide seat, plenty of room and the cushions are thick. We're enjoying sitting outside even in the cold and looking forward to Spring/Summer! ... show more

    • Great little set but a bit tedious to put together.

We really like this set. I would give it 5 stars other than the aggravation of putting it together. It was a little bit aggravating to line up some of the screws but as long as you leave everything loose until the end you shouldn’t have any major issues. Nice little set. Sturdy and comfortable.

As long as you don’t tighten each screw as you go, the chair pieces will fit together. My first mistake was I tightened one or two, then the other section wouldn’t line up. Sit fine in them, broad seating. The back does hit below mid back on me. Which makes you feel your back isn’t as supportive as other chairs. These were a pain to assemble.. If you want the legs to be the same height you better have some patience and be creative. I had to take them a part, swicth the legs with the other chair, unscrew them in different places and tighten in others. I basically had to try different things to try to get the legs even. At one point I was so fed up, I boxed everything back up and was going to ship them back, but eventually got everything back out and did what I could to get the legs the same. I would suggest using a hand drill or impact drill to put it together. The Alan wrech didn't cut it. Other than that, these a pretty sturdy and stylish. ... show more
