Description

Prohands Gripmaster is the original, patented hand exerciser with individual power buttons. Now that our patents have expired, many imitators have appeared, and these products do not have the engineering and quality which goes into every hand exerciser we make. Beware of inferior quality imitation products from Asia. Prohands is the very best hand exerciser used by professional athletes, world-class musicians, and as a rehabilitation tool. Made from high-quality components ABS plastic, stainless steel springs and approved santoprene. With Prohands you can exercise each finger individually, or the entire hand. Use each button independently to exercise fingers or compress the entire unit for complete hand and forearm strengthening. By isolating each digit, stronger fingers can’t compensate for the weaker ones. Allowing the user to isolate and exercise each finger individually for strength, dexterity, and endurance. Helping to develop outstanding hand, wrist and forearm strength. Prohands is ideal for anyone wanting to develop and maintain strong healthy hands. May help with arthritis, carpal tunnel, neuropathy, and poor circulation. The Prohands family of hand exerciser comes in 4 different model types (2nd image). VIA is our entry-level model, GRIPMASTER is our signature model, GRIPMASTER-Rehab is our signature model with an added palm cushion, and PRO is our most advanced model for pros and motivated individuals. Each Prohands model features graduated tension levels, which help the user measure progress. VIA 1lb to 6lb, GRIPMASTER 1lb to 9lb, GRIPMASTER-Rehab 0.75lb to 9lb, and PRO 5lb to 13lb. • Good Product
Size: 13 lb (XX-Heavy Tension) Color: Orange - Pro
I like the fact that you can use it to exercise individual fingers and whole hand at the same time. Only complaint is that I wish it was more ergonomic to hold

  • Not returnable.
Size: 7 lb (Medium Tension) Color: Red - Pro
I've owned several finger exercisers from Prohands in the past. I'm not sure if the product lines have changed significantly, but the ones I've owned are most similar to the Rehab line in 3lbs (red) and 7lbs (blue). They were great, I inevitably lose them, but I've never had one break on me. This looked like a more premium, padded version, which I liked the idea of. So I ordered the 7lbs (red) version. What I didn't realize is that this is also made for larger hands. I wear a medium size glove. It's a bit too big for my hand, but not unusable. Just due to that, I likely would have returned it and gotten a smaller version, but alas, no returns on this. The rubber padding is excellent though. I wish they had a similar rubberized version for smaller hands. Anyway, if you need/want something similar to this, and wear at least a size large glove, this is absolutely the version to get. ... show more

  • The Best Out There
Size: 13 lb (XX-Heavy Tension) Color: Orange - Pro
all the other weights / brands didnt offer enough resistance, but this fits the bill. I'm super into grip strenght and this is the absolute top touch if you're serious and looking for the most extreme hand / finger workout.

  • They're ok, but have some quirks.
Size: 7 lb (Medium Tension) Color: Red - Pro
It's really nice, small form factor, works out the muscles well. Just 2 cons on this device: 1- All the springs are the same tension. That means the max tension of this device is not 4x9LBS, but 3x9LBS, as the 3 bottom springs bottom out before the 4 top ones do. It also means your pinky has a much harder time to work out than your index, or middle finger. When you buy the light version of this, is great for pinky, but lousy for index/middle/ring finger. The red (medium tension) gripper is good for the ring finger, but somewhat basic for index and middle finger, and hard for pinky. in other words, if you're like me, you'll have to buy several to train a hand. 2- The bottom springs are pretty useless. They actually tilt the device when training individual fingers. The company also sells a mid, and a basic version of this device (this is the Pro device). The mid device and the pro device both have the same issue. When the device tilts, it tends to slip out of the hand. The basic version does not have this bottom spring set; and feels more stable in the hand, but doesn't have the higher resistance tension... 3- The bottom rubber doesn't feel very stable in the hand. It's very narrow, and sometimes tends to slide in the hand (esp when sweaty). The top has 4 buttons covered with rubber. It feels nicer than the mid-quality brothers for the medium tension (9LBS) or up. If you want to go for light, consider the basic, or mid-quality grippers, as they are a few $ cheaper, and quality wise make very little difference. Aside from these quirks, these grippers are very good. I bought 3 sets, but for a regular male, I would recommend starting out with the red version (medium strength). If you do regular workouts, are athletic built, consider skipping the regular, and head for heavy, or x heavy! ... show more

  • Gripmaster Pro proves to be a medical device
Size: 7 lb (Medium Tension) Color: Red - Pro
This product far exceeded my expectations. I have had the product for 18 days. Four months ago, I tripped and caught myself with my hands, most of my weight was on my left hand. Unfortunately, as a 44 year old male, my fingers did not heal as quickly as I thouht they should. I was preparing to make an appt with an ortho Doctor, but, I thought I would give this product a try. My fingers were constantly in pain. I am someone who works out 3-4x each week. I can run 5 mi without stopping. I was shocked that I was in this pain just from catching myself from a fall. 1) My hand started improving within 72 hours--I'm not kidding. 2) My fingers were noticeably stronger in 1 full week. 3) The constant pain in my fingers have completely left--I thought I was enroute to surgery On a scale of 1 to 10, I was a 3 when I began using this device 18 days ago. Today, I am a solid 8. I am extremely pleased with this turnaround in only 18 days. Initially, I used the product on a daily basis. Now, I want to really get my strength back and "go hard" every other day. This will give my muscles a chance to fully heal. I fully expect to be at a "10" in the next 6-8 weeks. I thought I was enroute to the surgeon--for sure!! I bought the the med tension, which was plenty for me. I am using this on both of my hands. My left hand is getting so strong, I don't want it to pass up my right hand. Do the exercises slow. Use 1 finger at a time for max results. Maybe I will work my way into the 'heavy' next year, but I am not in a rush....I'm not 21 years old bench pressing 300 lbs any more. I'm just trying to stay healthy and away from the knife of a surgeon. So yes, buy this product and you are trying to rehabilitate your fingers. I think the xtra light would be great for a broken/fractured finger. Good luck ... show more
