Nice "Tempered Glass" backboard, not acrylic. Roof bracket good quality and easy to install. Rim heavy duty, good quality. So why 4 instead 5 star rating, 1) washers on backboard hardware to small, when tighten they'll bend into bracket slot. I got my own bigger, thicker washers. 2) bracket pivot bolts just little loose allowing backboard movement... more of metallic sound that bugs me than board movement. 3) bracket slots for backboard mounting should have brace in middle like other similar brackets so when you tighten hardware they don't separate, especially separate if you use the small washers included. This is easy fix if you just drill hole and install bolt in middle of slot to hold two sides of slot together. 4) a lot of roofs have half inch wafferboard sheathing, i think lag bolts supplied with bracket would pull out after awhile. Would hate to be the guy doing layup when 200 pound board comes down off roof. I built supports under roof to "bolt" bracket into. All that said... I'd buy it again, small easy fixes, but manufacturer should know better and wouldn't cost them much to make it right. So that's why 4 stars instead of 5. ... show more

Update: The rim was shipped separately but eventually arrived 1 week after the backboard. The seller has offered to send replacements for the missing washers, but that is not terrible helpful now that we have already purchased our own for a make-shift solution. Likewise, we have drilled the holes in the support that were missing and required for installation. ... show more

Bought this for my son to replace an old wore out basketball hoop on our roof. I was surprised at how heavy this was matter of fact they had to break it down into three boxes for shipping which was fine other than not all three came the same day. For some reason only the support material arrived but the 60” backboard did not. If this is the case then the advertisement is misleading and really needs to say what doesn’t come with this purchase. I am waiting foe the seller to get back to me. Bummer as this was supposed to be a present for my son for Christmas.
