I haven’t tried the thinning shears yet (but will soon) but my experience with the scissors was great! They have a nice weight to them and cut through my hair like butter! I just got these in and haven't used them yet. The case seems to be a pretty decent cardboard with foam on the outside underneath the vinyl exterior. I kinda doubt the foam will last but I don't care. The comb is a comb, I'm replacing it with a neon yellow one for easier visibility when using it. The shears come wrapped in actually pretty decent shaped plastic sheaths. I'm going to keep them as long as I'm sure I'm putting the shears away dry. The shears are nicely colorfully coated, and the final grind on the cutting and mating surfaces was done last as you'd expect (making those surfaces shiny metal again). They swing with a whisper that got a tiny bit quieter when I lightly oiled the mating surfaces. The closing bumper is nice to have. I can't comment yet on how well they go through hair, but they went through some receipt paper with ease (the thinning shears made a line of perforations). I don't anticipate any problems. I have large hands for a man (9" hand span), and I was concerned about the finger rings being big enough. They are fine, the thumb ring is just right for comfortable use, and the ring finger ring has plenty of space. Overall the ergonomics seem good. Everything looks good so far! ... show more

These hair cutting scissors are nice and sharp the only problem I have is my fingers don't fit in the finger holes I've had to grind them out with a die grinder to get my fingers in them to use them
