The Probrico soft-closing hinge is sturdy, a snap to install, and considerably cheaper than similar hinges sold at Lowe's and Home Depot and they work great for my cabinets. We used a pair of these hinges on the door of a custom cabinet we built in our bathroom. The hinges fit perfectly into the pockets on the door, and I just eyeballed where to attach the ends in the cabinet. It turned out that I installed the inside part of the hinge just a little too far into the cabinet. No problem -- a half turn of one of the screws (on each hinge), and the door was in exactly the right spot. I like the good soft-close feature of these hinges, too. In addition to being easy to install, these Pobrico hinges just look and feel good. They are made from heavy metal, and the screw adjustments are easy to make and work predictably. I'm just a weekend warrior when it comes to doing woodwork and cabinetry around the house, but these Pobrico hinges made me look (just a little) like a professional. I would definitely use them again. My photos show the outside of the cabinet, and what one of the hinges looks like inside the cabinet. ... show more

These hinges worked great. I've never used Blum, but I don't see how they could be much better. I've just installed 16 of these, and had no problems with any of them. They appear solidly built, so I expect a long life from them. The only downside is the lack of instructions, but you can get those on the Probrico website. About 1 hour and $45, and now my entire kitchen has soft-close doors. These were ALMOST perfect. I only needed one per door to get a nice soft close, so I was able to leave half of the original hardware untouched! The only issue was that all of the original screws attaching the hinge to the cabinet were pretty big. I couldn't use the supplied screws since they were too small, but I had to drill out the holes in these brackets to get the larger original screws to work. It wasn't a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. I honestly didn't mind since these are almost HALF of what I paid for similar brackets at Lowe's, only that those brackets were much weaker and didn't slow the doors down as much!
