The boat was as described. I did have to replace the transmitter and receiver, because even after binding, they would not work properly with the ESC.

Very disappointing the attached pic shows the wire guides that are supposed to be spread out along the esc wire which is supposed to be connected to the receiver. I am not sure if it is. I didn’t bother to even put batteries in the boat. First thing I checked was getting the flex shaft out of the boat as this has been a known problem. I could not get the flex shaft out. Even tried the method indicated in the Horizon Hobby video on how to remove the flex shaft. Also there were two set screws just sitting in the bottom of the flex shaft collar compartment. The stickers did not line up where the front hatch meets the front deck area. Horizon Hobby used to be pretty good with quality control but lately there does not seem to be any quality control at Horizon Quite frankly I would give this negative stars if I could ... show more

I'm getting 66 mph with new prop n lots of tuning which makes motor n esc run hot. To remove flex shaft you have to undo collet AND two screws above where flex shaft comes out of hull. Saw one hit a wave and flip, the whole top deck split. Fast and fun but not solid boats
