Prepare herb savor pod 2. 0 is the new and improved smaller version of Prepare beloved herb savor. These pods are designed to neatly store fresh herbs and prolong the life of fresh cut herbs for up to three weeks. The new 2. 0 version is 20% Larger and features a hinged door for easy access. To use, Open the hinged, clear door and place your clean, fresh herbs in the Pod with stems pointing down. Pull out the Green stopper at the base of the pod, fill the pod with fresh water through the stopper opening and replace the stopper. You can store your Prepare herb savor pod 2. 0 neatly inside a refrigerator door. The herbs will draw the water up through their stems and stay fresh thanks to the water at the base of the pod. For best results, change and refresh the water on a regular basis. This set includes three herb savor pods, so you can keep flavorful herbs stored separately. Also great for asparagus. Bpa free, top rack dishwasher safe.

    • Keeps Herbs Fresh - A Little Tipsy in an Annoying Way

Overall, I like these pods. Their slim profile is deceiving, and they can hold a fairly large bunch of parsley, dill or cilantro. They keep these fragile herbs quite fresh, and I find it so convenient to keep the three pods handy inside the refrigerator door where they are easy to access. My previous storage method involved silicone bags which were often misplaced in my crammed to the limit, too small refrigerator. The one thing I dislike is that they are so tipsy and fall over easily, risking breakage. It is annoying! I can't see anyone storing these anywhere in the refrigerator without some kind of support ---the refrigerator door or possibly in a storage container that gives more stability. I use many fresh herbs, which can be expensive, and I hate any waste. I haven't wasted any herbs since I started using these pods, but I also use most herbs within two weeks of purchase. However, I've had rosemary in one for three weeks now and it is remarkably fresh. I have not stored basil in these pods and would be disinclined to because basil tends to brown in cold. I keep basil in a vase with water. I am glad I bought the pods, and I recommend them in spite of the tipsy design. ... show more

Water comes out if it falls over, but it really helps keep herbs fresh. The door that closes on these doesn't seal to keep water out. So you have to make sure this won't get knocked over. But it kept cilantro fresh for almost 3 weeks.

Got this and followed directions for use exactly as suggested. Have used this with dill and cilantro and can say that this does indeed keep these fresher and greener for longer than just normal storage in the fridge. My only complaint is none other than my own. I should have gotten the bigger one. This can only hold a good handful herb bundle. If you do a lot of cooking or keep lots of fresh herbs go for the bigger one. If you do not then this one will do a fantastic job for you ... show more

They seem to keep some herbs fresher than others. One broke after just using it once. the door will no longer stay closed. I'm not hopeful that the same thing won't happen to the other 2

Similar looking product had the tendency to pop open on the refrigerator. Also, that other similar product had a loose water fill plug. This product is GREAT! The cover is attached and hinged like a door. The water spout plug is also attached. Just snip the ends of cilantro (like for cut flowers), rinse, and store in device. I love these so much I've ordered 3 of them. The large size works great to keep Parsley and Cilantro fresh for weeks. Order one and try it out to see if it works for you. That's what I did and ended up ordering more.
