Custom hardware keeps the bed aligned and requires only your mattress. The wood slat system, which comes in two sections, prevents motion transfer to provide individual comfort. The platform is raised 8.5 inches which allows for optional under bed storage. Four large drawers add storage functionality to the Select Platform Bed. Each large roll out drawer (38"W x 5.5"H x 23"D) offers plenty of storage space for your blankets, linens, clothes or pillows. The product came in 4 different boxes and they were HEAVY! We had to get help to bring them upstairs where the actual bed frame was put together because otherwise it would not fit through the doors. It is pretty sturdy and so far after sleeping in it for 3 nights we are very happy with it. It doesn't shake, wobble or squeak and it came packaged pretty well, good enough to not arrive with too many scuff marks so it looks great! I was worried about how to go about returning this if there were damaged boards or noticeable marks, but luckily it was delivered in good shape. We haven't used the drawers but they seem to work well. They roll on the floor, not on a track, which I think will work nicely when it comes time to clean under the bed. For the price, I think this was a good purchase. This is our first King Size bed and we are pretty happy with it. It was a little hard to get used to the slightly larger box type frame and we did bump toes a couple of times but overall it's a great bed frame for the price and given that it has added storage. My husband did spend about 3 hours building it and I cut down all the cardboard boxes and styrofoam packaging which was another 2 hours of work! So be prepared to set a weekend aside to get it all done, but it was worth the work. ... show more

All the storage I need. Sooooo sturdy! Assembly was easy. One drawer front got damaged during assembly but it was my own fault. But still, company sent replacement part in a week. 100% satisfied!

It's made of pressed wood. Some of the pieces were minoryly damaged during shipping. But it was super easy to put together. And it's pretty sturdy. Worth the money if you are looking to save on a new frame.

I needed a way to store my clothes without taking up much space with other furniture, so I settled on this bed. The drawers are huge!! That might not be great for some but works well for me as I was able to fit all of my folded shirts in one drawer, which fit into two separate drawers in a regular dresser. It saved me space and looks really good! The only negative I can find is the drawers are on wheels instead of fixed into the frame, which causes them to shift side to side ever so slightly when you pull them out, but it's not hard to fit them back into place. It's the best thing I could find to match my needs and it works really great and looks good! ... show more

The assembly is not too hard. Though the instructions could be easily simplified to make the process easier. (I'm sure the company doesn't care.) And now that the only saving grace is over... EACH plank was damaged and/or scratched, parts were missing and/or didn't fit, along with holes drilled to the incorrect sizes, (I had to buy some of my own to make them fit.) and the planks you set the mattress on do not fit the way described anyway you manipulate them so the mattress constantly dips in different locations. I've actually gotten hurt with this frame, I REPEAT THIS FRAME HAS HURT US!!! When the planks fail and the mattress sinks your limbs can become wedged between the frame and mattress! WARNING!!! There are more issues, but at this point it would be knit picking. I wouldn't recommend this product or brand to my enemies and NEVER for children!!!! Needless to say WE ARE PISSED!!! Pic: The slats are cut FAR to short to keep the mattress mounted and supported. They teter on the edge that they sit. And it doesn't matter which way you slide them or the side of the bed. My dudes, I bought this for my husband's birthday as we damaged our previous bedframe during a move and have just left our mattress on the floor since. Our closet is a little cluttered with too many things in a small space, but this thing is a GAME CHANGER. I put all my PJs, socks, and such in the first drawer, and still had a whole drawer left. I was able to take all my leggings, tights, tshirts and sweatpants and gold them nicely, and I still have a 1/4 of a drawer left. I'll probably fill it up with a couple spare purses I have. And oh my goodness!! I haven't even mentioned the loveliness of the bedframe itself. It was so amazingly easy to put together. I did most of it myself (I mean, I'm not going to make someone put together their own gift unless that's something they enjoy) and only needed my guy to hold a couple pieces steady and help me stretch the supporting boards over the top. A bit of advice, if you have trouble with the boards staying in place, leave the dowels further out of the holes, and let the weight of the mattress keep everything in place. It's easier to fix and keep the boards stretched with the weight of the mattress. We're going to bed now, and everything feels so sturdy and comfy. Definitely recommend if you want a nice bedframe that isn't horribly expensive. ... show more

I just put this bed together a few nights ago. It was such a hassle. Holes not lining up and the particle board breaking when screwing in some of the screws. It’s very cheaply made. I had a metal platform bed that was around $200 that was way more sturdy than this. I like that it has drawers, which is the main reason I bought it, but if you have a shag rug or carpet like me, they don’t slide in and out well. I love this bed with the under storage. It was so easy to set up it says two people but I did it myself. It took me about 1.5 times the time the directions say it takes but that's just me putting together furniture. Lol. It's sturdy and doesn't creak it holds 4 queen blankets in any drawer I had 6 quilts in one. Love this bed. And it came in 4 boxes so getting it inside wasn't horrible. ... show more
