  • Perfect for old school media
Color: Black Size: Quad Width Wall Design: Cabinet
If you’re one of the last holdouts still sticking to your physical media - CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, VHSs, video game cartridges, Knick-knacks, etc - this is the one - sure helped clean up my media and made it easy to find my favorite movies, music, and games - also purchased some of those tabbed dividers for alphabetizing like the music stores used to have back in the day (nostalgic memories of browsing Tower Records on my mind) - can’t wait to get them set up in here. Packaging was great to prevent damage in shipping, assembly was surprisingly quick and easy. Very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • Does exactly what’s expected
Color: Black Size: Quad Width Wall Design: Cabinet
I had to write a review to counter the poor reviews about how hard it is to put together. I’ve built a lot of this type of furniture in my new house and this was possibly the easiest build yet. And has a lot of room for media

  • Unbelievably shoddy design
Color: Black Size: Slim Barrister Tower Design: Cabinet
Storage cabinets for CD’s, DVD’s and VHS tapes are becoming as obsolete as the media they are meant to store, no company wants to make the investment to design anything worthwhile so virtually everything being sold is junk. Including this one. The big difference is that most of the others sell for about $45 bucks, which is about what they are worth. This one’s price is in the stratosphere and before you read another word, take my advice, it’s not worth it. I bought it for one reason, I have a lot of audio and video recordings on those obsolete formats and they are scattered all over the house. Almost every cabinet that holds a large quantity of media is low profile so it takes up a lot of floor space, which is at a premium in my house. This one is unusually tall and has a unique width that fits exactly between my closet door and the corner of the room. That is the one and only reason I kept it. If you are still considering this product, then at least read the following information and tips so you know what you are getting in for. TIP 1 When I am shopping for something I start with the one star reviews, they are usually the most informative about what’s wrong with a product and least likely to be bogus reviews placed by the seller or people who got free samples. Here’s what you will find in those low rating reviews. That they (a Canadian company, not Chinese) are careless to the point of irresponsibility in prepping it to get to you – everything is carelessly tossed inside with no protection other than a white foam that is carelessly sprayed all over the parts themselves. It absolutely does not come off no matter what I’ve tried, if you care at all about how the finished cabinet looks you will be disappointed, the ugly white foam covers many of the parts that show. TIP 2 Like most cheap RTA (ready to assemble) furniture this is made from MDA which is a way of hiding the fact that it is compressed sawdust covered with an extremely thin vinyl. There are actually some fairly nice products made from MDA, this isn’t one of them, it is the lowest grade like you would find at the dollar store. Except this costs many dollars, it is unbelievably overpriced. Compared to other products this should sell for no more than forty-five bucks at the most. TIP 3 Unlike most Chinese-made furniture that is usually precisely sized this looks like someone made it in their back yard after a few beers. Those useless front trim pieces that so many complain about because they make CD/DVD cases at either end impossible to access are about an eighth of an inch too long. I had to cut them with a hacksaw. No one who buys a cabinet that costs this much should have to correct pieces that are made incorrectly. IF you aren’t handy with shop tools, do not buy this cabinet. TIP 4 The flimsy piece of cardboard they call a back panel is too small. If you nail it on like you would on similar cabinets the tall sides are pulled in too much which results in the shelves not fitting. The instructions don’t say a word about this. The guy who made this could have avoided this problem if he had just put a fixed shelf mid-way between the top and bottom. SOLUTION: and this is a must – before you start to nail the back on install two shelves, one 8 peg holes down from the top and one 8 peg holes up from the bottom. That will spread the sides enough while you attach the cardboard back so you can then install (and adjust) the rest of the shelves. And by the way, they use the absolute cheapest aluminum nails that bend at the slightest tap. TIP 5 This is another must-do. I recommend never assembling any RTA furniture without using a good grade of wood glue. You will never end up with a serviceable item if you don’t. And it is especially true with something like this that uses absolutely no bracing of any kind. Glue every wood-to-wood surface except the shelves of course. TIP 6 I have never seen any company include a black felt marker for you to touch up their mistakes. And you will need it. Fortunately it matches close enough to cover places where the thin vinyl is scratched or marred. YES OR NO As I said I didn’t return this because it fits the space I have available and it’s not in a location where looking good is that important to me. After it was assembled, with me correcting their mistakes, it holds my remaining library of CD’s, DVD’s and VHS tapes. I can’t recommend it for all of the reasons covered above but most of all because it is unbelievably shoddy for the price which is way too high. ... show more

  • Exactly what I wanted!
Color: Black Size: Double Multimedia Storage Tower Design: Cabinet
I just bought a home. I have been purchasing a lot of items for my home lately. This is exactly what I wanted for my CD collection. It was easy to assemble, strong and sturdy. I love it, and have plenty of room for more CD purchases now.

  • Holds Alot of Media
Color: Black Size: Quad Width Wall Design: Cabinet
I would have given it 5 stars, however, the backing made for this media storage needs to be thicker and stronger. For something that holds so many dvds, cds, etc... the manufacturer should stop cutting corners and provide better and stronger material for the back of it.

  • Nice addition to DVD storage
Color: Oak and Black Size: Slim Multimedia Storage Tower Design: Cabinet
I have provided a review recently but not sure if it got accepted, consequently I am submitting a second review. Initially I read some other reviews that were provided over a year ago, wherein there were complaints of badly fitting parts & confusion regarding assembly. I on the other hand found the towers to go together extremely easy. The illustrated assembly instructions were clear to the point one would have to purposefully make a mistake. Each side panel has just one large counter-bored hole each, & there are just two inserts (cams) of the same diameter as the holes. There is even an arrow marked on the cam to show the direction of installation. So there is only one place these inserts can be installed. The assembly instructions show two wooden dowels, one each inserted adjacent to the cams in pre-drilled holes. For both my units the dowels fitted snugly in the holes. No need for a hammer. Could be better quality control now than at the time the other reviews were made? The top panel also has pre-drilled holes to accept the exposed portion of wooden dowels protruding from the side panels. Prior to assembling the top panel there are two expanding blue colored pins (Blue rapid rods) that insert into the remaining two pre-drilled holes in the side panels with the threaded portion of the pins projecting out from the side panels. At this point the top can be attached to the side panels & again you can't go wrong because the finished front of the top panel obviously faces front. The cams can now be rotated using the Phillips screwdriver which tightens the top to the sides. Next the base need to have the four feet nailed to the underside. I installed mine about 3/4 of an inch from each side & merely used a hammer, no pre-drilling necessary. There are now only four screws left in the kit & there are four holes in the base that line up with the 2 each pre-drilled holes per side panel, so assembling the base to the sides is obvious.. The basic tower frame is now fairly sturdy & can be laid on the front surfaces of the side panels. Be sure not to rest the tower on the front projection of the top & bottom panels. At this point I did check to see if the unit was square with the aid of a set square, & both of my towers were dead on. Now the rear panel can be nailed in place after ensuring the panel is centered on the sides, top & bottom. I followed the instruction sheet regarding the placement of the top four nails then measured the remaining nail spaces so they were all equi-distance apart. The shelf mounting inserts will be installed at levels that suit your application & the inserts are a little snug to install. Many I could insert by hand but some I did need a pair of pliers to fully insert them. I found the quality excellent throughout & easy to assemble with very pleasing results. I am 83 years old & if I can put these together you can also, believe me. And all I needed was a hammer, a Phillips screwdriver, a pair of pliers, a pencil, a tape measure, & about 3/4 of an hour to assemble two towers. ... show more

  • Yeah works great HOWEVER
Color: Black Size: Quad Width Wall Design: Cabinet
Yep it holds all my media, looks nice, easy to build, took about an hour and a half (I might have been watching SCP: Dollhouse while building so I’m sure you could build it faster, and it keeps everything separated. HOWEVER I wish all the backboards were cut straight. If you try squaring everything together you’re left with holes in the back and if you try to make sure there’s no holes in the back your left with a little bit sticking out (see picture) and need duct tape cause it’s not reaching far enough to nail it down. ... show more
