I like these bowls a lot. I've had them a couple of weeks now. They look very nice. They are sturdy. And they are a perfect size. The only issue I have is like other reviewers, the lids do not stay tight when they are put in the refrigerator. They are airtight before you put them in the refrigerator. But once they get cold they dont seal at all. That being said, I bought them for the bowls not the lids. And they are mixing bowls but I wanted them for storing my leftovers in the refrigerator. The bowls work perfect for what I bought them for. And I intend to buy some more. I just use aluminum foil to cover them and i use the lids for coasters so they dont scratch my glass shelves in the refrigerator. But they are really smooth on the bottom so I'm not sure they would even do that. So I love the bowls and i do recommend them. You have to decide if the lids are needed to you. ... show more

Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking to replace, buy new, or add more to their kitchenware. I looked all over amazon and in 4 different local stores in my area looking for affordable and good quality mixing bowls to add to my new kitchen set. I finally decided on this set after purchasing another set from a local store that I ended up returning as the lids did not fit in the top and the bowls seemed to be flimsy and bad quality. This set arrived with in two days and I am VERY pleased! They are great quality and come in the most efficient various sizes. I wanted to find affordable but good quality bowls and these are just that. This set comes with 5 different sizes all with matching plastic lids that (ACTUALLY) fit perfectly on the top and are easy to put on and pop off for food storage. The bowls are also dishwasher safe and seem to keep their stainless steal shine even after the wash. I ordered these bowls just in time for holiday meal prep and I am so glad I did. I usually buy a cheap metal bowl here and there from the local big box stores but these are so much better! They have a great bit of heft to them and feel really durable. The variety of sizes is perfect- large for blending dough down to small for whipping up a quick sauce. The sides are tall and straight which decreases spill out. The grip bottoms work excellent on my granite and wood work surfaces. They clean up nicely and best of all are the airtight lids. I like to chill cookie dough before baking and my old bowls didn't have a lid. I thought I wouldn't like the colors of the bowls as they don't match my decor at all, but they aren't crayon bright or offensive and the powder coat helps my hands grip them better. Light weight and sturdy I use them nearly daily. I went to a cooking class in Paris and the chef used many similar bowls for everything Even had one out for scraps which I do at home as well when cleaning fresh veggies. I didn't care about the lids but if that had been important I may have been disappointed. The shape itself does not lend well for refrigerator storage. I occasionally use a lid just to cover on the counter when marinading something or not done with the scrap bowl. I'm shopping for not right now ... show more

I would give these bowls, a 10+ if you had that many stars, these bowls would make a great wedding gift or a housewarming gift for somebody thats just starting out they are very nice.
