I had no problems with this filling, came well packaged and filled a good portion of my bean bag. I like their packaging process that they used, kind of like a sleeping bag packed method and it works nicer for putting it into a bean bag because you can just cut a certain corner and pour it in. In terms of comfort level, I’d say very squishy and well compressed when sitting on it. Feels like sitting on a pillow. Although when pouring it out of the packaging it was a little messy because there were a couple really small memory foam pieces that are easy to spill out.     • Comfortable, But You Need A Lot!

I bought this memory foam for a 3 ft bean bag chair that did not come with any filling. This filler is listed as being 2 cubic feet, so I thought it may be close to filling it up (I had no real mental image of 2 cubic feet or a 3 ft bean bag, honestly), so I bought one bag and figured I could get more filling if needed. It certainly was not enough. I would probably need 2-3 more packages to fill it at least (about 4 total), which is pretty expensive when you add it up. My bean bag has a liner, so I put the foam in there. The only issue was that my chair had a small 10" or so opening, so I made a huge mess. My initial goal was to put the whole compressed package through the small opening of the chair liner, then cut it open and empty the bag inside. Unfortunately, I accidently cut the packaging and it expanded before I could put it in. I had to scoop it in by hand and it went all over. It was not enough filling, but it is softer than traditional beans, which I like. I plan on buying more filler, but I may need to investigate to see if I can find a more affordable option. ... show more

I actually got this for something other than a bean bag chair. I was in charge of doing the games for kids at a picnic and I used this for filling up bean bags I made for kids to throw at each other. I wanted something that would have heft to it but wouldn't hurt when you got hit with it. This stuff worked perfectly. It was just a little tricky filling bags that size and not ending up with a bunch of it on the floor but it was worth it because that bean bag war was the hit of the picnic. My kids have a beanbag chair that has seen better days. The original beans in the chair had gone almost completely flat to the point that the chair just lays in the corner of the room like a balled up mess. So, I decided to order this filler to try to revive the chair. First of all, I really like this foam filler better than the traditional beanbag fillers. The filler that came in my beanbag when I purchased it was those little styrofoam ball bead things, and they just don't hold up to wear and tear. This foam filler from Amazon is WAY better quality and fills the beanbag chair better than the other stuff. It really does feel like shredded memory foam, not a typical styrofoam or latex foam that goes flat quickly. One 5lb bag did a decent job filling the beanbag chair and giving it it's shape back, but when you sit in the chair it doesn't hold it's shape as well still; if you're refilling a worn out chair like me, I would suggest getting at least 10lbs. If you're filling an empty chair, you'll probably need 20-25lb. The item description states that a 5lb bag is equivalent to 2 cubic feet, or 2-3 pillows worth...but I think that's a little bit of an overstatement, especially when you consider how foam flattens and squishes down when in use. Overall I think that this shredded memory foam filler is a great product, but the size of the filler bags don't fill as much as I thought it would. ... show more

I have a big bean bag that I am slowly filling up, it has been taking way more "beans" than I anticipated. This bag was exactly what I was expecting, the foam is squishy and good for sitting on. To avoid making a mess, I put the whole bag inside of my bean bag that I'm filling and open it up inside. This has worked well for minimizing foam mess. The foam bits are irregular shapes, they're clearly bits left over from making other products. This isn't a flaw in my eyes, but it is worth mentioning as there are some foams that are uniform in size and shape and could easily be what someone is looking for.     • Decent fill, but a mess to work with.

This memory foam fill comes in a large bag that has had all of the air squeezed out of it. It might look small, but the moment it takes in any air, the bag will triple in size. The memory foam itself is fine, it's clearly made up of various scraps from other memory foam products, as there are ALL kinds of different shapes, sizes, and colors of memory foam mixed in. My biggest gripe with this fill is just how small some of the pieces are, and that there is a ton of memory foam dust in here. It's kind of a mess to work with as a result, and if you are using this in a pillow or cushion without a super tight weave in the fabric, prepare to get memory foam particles everywhere. I think the price is fairly unreasonable too, for what you get. If the pieces were a bit more uniform in size, I would understand it more, but this definitely feels like a scrap bag with a premium price point on it. ... show more
