The hinge on this access door is very flimsy and broke off very quickly. It was past my return period and I only opened this 3-4 times. I have to jury rig and add external hinges to fix this. Buyers beware, for the price, you can buy a better access door.

The description claims the door is gasketed, but in reality it only has an extremely thin strip of foam tape, with gaps in it from sloppy installation. The door does not fit tight against the frame when latched. I was hoping to use this as an access door for my crawlspace in my basement, but this will allow lots of air to flow through and be just as effective as the warped piece of plywood that serves as a door now. Returning and will spend less to make a tighter sealing door out of wood. ... show more

easy to install however, hard to open door. When you turn the knob to lock or unlock there is no handle to open the door.
