Spread it out before it rained a little late last year. This seems to have worked really well. I have a few weeds, but seems to have reduced it by about 95%+ compared to my neighbors. My property is from the light pole straight back to the right. Going to treat my front and back twice a year going forward.     • Lid was not on tight on this product
I am happy with the product. However, when shipped the lid was not on tight so about one fourth of the Preen was loose in the box. Fortunately I was able to retrieve most of it. In the future, it may be beneficial to make sure the lid is on tight. Thank you Linda Driscoll

    • Damage during shipping
The container was damaged during shipping in a plastic bag with the contents everywhere. My only option was to return item but the sale price had ended. Product works fine but shipping was poor.

I applied this to the garden using a broadcast spreader. After 2 passes (one N-S, one E-W) the amount on the ground looked approximately like the pictures I had seen. I had used about 1/2-2/3 of the bucket. Rain was in the forecast overnight but we did not get any. I watered it in by hand the next morning. As of the writing of this review it has been one month since application. There are practically no weeds growing, and the ones that have popped up are easily dispatched with a hoe. Our dirt is rich and black, and we have been watering regularly, and weeds usually pop up and grow really fast. The fact that the ground is bare astounds me. I now spend hardly any time weeding, and my family and my back are much happier now that I don’t regularly put THEM to work weeding all the time. Used to control weeds on the rock between the houses.

    • Probably great product but Amazon shipped open container
Container was opened and wrapped in Amazon packaging and then boxed so it spilled in the box and leaked everywhere leaving half a container left. Packaging was very disappointing.
