This seed broadcaster is a total piece of trash, it came broken out of the box. I need it to seed at my property tomorrow and now I'm out of luck. Precision has terrible quality control.

    • I will never go back to the old push style spreader on wheels after this
I had ever seen one of these Precision SS100 Bag Spreader/Seeders until a landscaping guy that I had hired showed up with one and, to my amazement, quickly and easily spread a a fifty pound bag of seed with it. I had aways used the old reliable Scott style push spreaders. But I immediately ordered one of these bag spreaders and have been very happy with the results. Although the hand actuated lever for adjusting spread volume does not really work very well, varying the rate at which you turn the hand crank does a god job of limiting or increasing the amount of seed or fertilizer being spread as well. The radius of the spread is also much wider than the push style spreaders, and you don't have to worry about wheel tracks on soil and so forth. Easy to fill and use. RECOMMENDED. ... show more

It is exactly what is in the description. Not the most rugged I've seen but it works like it says. I've used several times this summer with out issue. I would not recommend using it for fertilizer spreading or heavily coated seeds the gears will slip.

Nice and neat, well finished, works a treat, adjustment is dicky to work out but, when you adjust it whilst using it , it`s a hoot.. Needs a guard over your cranking hand as the seed hits it at some speed but I love it.. Have spread seed up some nasty gullies, and it is so easy.. the hardest part is the walking while cranking thing, you know the doing 2 things at once thing.. ... show more
