Built of heavy-duty plastic for years of use, the HHBS125 comes fully assembled and ready to use — no need to reach for a wrench with this tough little yard tool. The packaging on this multipurpose hand spreader boasts it's "the quick and convenient way to spread," which it may very well be; it features three settings, a hopper that holds approximately 6 pounds of fertilizer or ice melt or 3 pounds of seed, and a spread of 6 to 12 feet. However, the heavy plastic hand crank is difficult to turn, so although it may be quick and convenient, it's not top of the line.
