    • Fun, relaxing way to play with my cats
I looked at several different options for something that mimicked a mouse's movements for my three cats. They love when I tease them with fishing rods, but sometimes, I can't get the movements right and they get bored. I also sometimes come home tired and just want to nap when they want to play. Some of the options for mouse toys have remote controls, some have motion sensors and some have a sort of vibrating bottom that moved the toy across the floor. I tried the last kind, and my cats quickly got bored. While spending more than $20 initially put me off, I tried the Payomac model because reviews highlighted its ability to reverse directions when it hit an obstacle. I live in a city apartment with a lot of obstacles, and my cats generally lose toys under all of our furniture. It also charged with USB, which I prefer over batteries. The mouse toy was just what I hoped-a toy that moved fast (but not too fast) and intermittently across the floor, and had simple settings for me to understand. I don't have time to read a manual about a cat toy. My cats sometimes chase after it, and sometimes just like to watch it for some time before chasing it. My only small issue was that they initially didn't know what to do with it when they caught it. I put a little catnip on it, and they learned to hold the toy and rub against it. Now they run and catch it, hold it, and release when done. At some point, they get tired and I turn off the toy for a bit. The toy has a program rest period that kicks in a few minutes after my cats need rest (they are about 8-10 years old), but the period is probably better suited for younger cats. The charge also lasts a fairly long period of time, (especially because the toy rests between 'runs') What separated this toy from similar models for me was the larger wheels. This allows it to push away from an obstacle with more torque than similar toys, and avoids getting stuck. I may get another one so that my more aggressive cat doesn't hog playtime! All in all, a quality toy clearly designed by people with cats. I hope they develop a stationary toy that moves intermittently as well! ... show more

Got this for my dog and she goes wild! Just didn't like how easy she chewed off the blue tip rubber nose... could've been bad if she swallowed it. But it's a great interactive toy for wood floors or laminate floors. Works on carpet just not as fast.

    • Doesn't work on carpet, but cats love it
My cats love this but it doesn't work on any of the carpeted areas of my home. It will run onto the carpet and get stuck. Also needs to be charged daily which is a nuisance. My cats love it when it works!

Cute at first but after a few hours one of the wheels stop working. Cats seemed to follow it when it was working. It does what it says…rolls over, bounces back and when it hits the edge of something it does turn and rolls on ward. 4 starts cause of the wheel stop working…cute toy

It's cute but the chirping noise gets annoying. My cat just stares at it and then runs away from it.she only played with it when it's turned off and I glued feathers and a bell to it

    • Best cat toy I ever purchased
My cat gets so much stimulation for his mind and exercise from this product. Sometimes I feel heartbroken he might be depressed and bored because he doesn’t have another cat to play with or enough attention during times when owners need to work. Plus he’s an indoor cat. This product makes me feel happy as I walk out the front door leaving my 5 year old cat for a full day of work. Even though it’s just a cat I have a big concern and feel tremendous guilt if he’s depressed, lonely or sad etc. this product is hands down genius! ... show more

My cat enjoyed this for about ten seconds until it hit the couch. I'd you have a big empty space this will be great. If not forget it.
