  • Almost impossiple to use!
There is something wrong with the design or geometry of this snow blower! When you try to push it forward, the horizontal lower edge of the metal housing for the rotating snow blade digs down into the pavement and it is almost impossible to move the snow blower forward, even on dry concrete. It takes such brute force that there is no way a smaller person could use this machine! After I submitted the above review a company rep contacted me and tried to convince me that there was no problem Then they told me I could return it. All I had to do was drain the gas and oil, box it up, and pay for shipping. Just tried to use it on actual snow for the first time . Awful!! Extremely difficult to push forward. Very cheaply made. Pieces fell off. The CEO of that company rep should be required to use one for an hour. ... show more

  • Bad quality product and customer service
The media could not be loaded. The front left side is leaning towards the ground, not allowing the bottom scraper to function efficiently. The blowing function works well but since there is something on the left front side that not allowing the movement it does not function properly. I raised the issue to support@powersmartusa.com responses are to save time not to solve any problem. A total disappointment bot product and customer service. ... show more

  • Sorry I bought this snowblower.
Assembling this product was easy and all the parts were there. But to use this product is very hard. I was under the impression that this snow blower was auger propelled but it is not so it is a manual push snowblower. It's very difficult to push in heavier wet snow and the shave plate hangs up on the cement which for me causes a lot of frustration. I looked at the shave plate thinking it was adjustable but I don't think it is otherwise I would have raised it. So you have to raise the front of the snow blower slightly in order for the shaved plate not to hang up on the cement and manually push it forward through the snow. It's just a very difficult product to use. I definitely do not recommend this product for older people because it takes a lot of strength and it will wear you out. ... show more

  • dont buy.
Actually got two of these hunks of junk. First one was damaged from freight, thats one thing, second one, which Amazon replaced for free, seemed okay until I used it. IT has such a bad twist in it, that the shovel edge digs into concrete and I cant even push it. NOT A GOOD DEAL

  • It clears the snow
I've only used it once so far. The week after I bought this we got 5 inches of wet, heavy snow so it was the perfect chance to see what it could do. It did clear all of the snow without a problem, even the snow that the plow deposited at the end of the driveway. It is not that easy to maneuver and it's a little on the heavy side but I guess that's too be expected for a single stage snow blower. All in all it works much better than my battery powered snow blower, there's no way that would have cleared the week heavy snow. ... show more

  • Very hard to push.
The price was wonderful! Easy setup and runs great. However, when compared to the toro I was replacing, it's very hard to push, especially up any incline. The scraper blade on this machine is a different quality plastic compared to the Toro. I think that if they were to improve on this, the machine would be just as good as a Toro. ... show more

  • Do not buy if not living in the north east US or eastern Canada!
Bought last September to prepare for this winter (live in the Sierras). December rolls around, first real snow on the horizon, time to assemble. Screw on right tire, great. Screw on left tire... tip of the axle sheers right off. Lovely. Still in warranty, so annoyed to no end but I submit the issue to the warranty. Find out after a week or two of back and forth that they want to have me bring it into an authorized dealer. Nearest one is in South Dakota. Sigh. Weeks of back and forth later, they try to have me find another repair place and they'd comp me or offer a refund. After calling around any small engine repair place within 50 miles, no one around here wants to touch it. In these calls, nearly every small engine repair place told me nearly the same time every time: you should have bought local. Never buy these online unless it's a widely known brand (Honda, Toro, John Deere), or else you risk not having the means to repair it. Now it's February, several snow storms later of having to instead shovel, and I'm frankly done and just want a refund. Refund no longer offered without paying to ship the behemoth back, which will likely cost nearly half the cost of the blower to do. Absolutely asinine. Absolute buyer beware! Amazon should not be allowing this on their site on this merit alone. Edit: After another month of going back and forth, they finally accepted a return on their dime and refund. So there's that, I suppose. Still a lot of wasted effort and time that could have been avoided by simply not selling this product on Amazon, or restricting its sale to the region of support (if that's even possible on Amazon). I stand by this headline - DO NOT purchase if you don't live near a service station. ... show more
