I did watch many review videos on different ones and this one is not only excellent pricing, but it is a serious work horse! I use it to plug all my small items in like flashlights, 5 phone chargers, phones, 4 car battery chargers, and this generator is barely working! I'm so happy I got it since I'm homeless and want to get a small fridge as well as other small appliances. I would have taken pictures or a video, but they only allow 30 seconds and my tent is a bit messy right now due to saving for a new tent and set up. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Grabbed this at the start of hurricane season to be prepared. It’s very heavy and seems of good quality. The power is enough to run small appliances if Power goes out. It’s easy to set up and start, worth it to have on hand for power outages!

This machine has been working decent except for the muffler fell off after about 150 hrs of use. Apparently it shakes more than the muffler can handle. UPDATE... Now it is June 2024 The generator now has around 3,000 hrs on it and I wanted to update the review. I think this machine has broken every place that anyone has ever had one of these break... first the muffler broke off from 2 places, 2 of the gas tank mounts broke off, the rewinder went to many pieces, the engine mounts broke off letting the engine sag, and even the frame work is breaking, and the unit is a bit noisier than a Predator right from new!!! I would strongly recommend anyone to spend a little more and just get the real Predator from Harbor Freight. We have one that would be the equivalent to this one, it is the Predator 4550 inverter generator and it has between 5,000 - 6,000 hrs on it and runs great yet. And it is a lot smoother and quieter, and takes less fuel. Needless to say, we got another Predator!!!!! ... show more

    • Alot of power for the money

Bought the unit during florida hurricane prep tax free week. After hurricane Ian i had no power for 7 days and was not going through that again. I wanted a generator that was big enough to power a window ac unit, the fridge, and few lights and be able to run overnight without refueling. This unit fit that criteria. So With free shipping, $40 Amazon coupon and no sales tax, total cost was $389. The unit was very well packed with hard Styrofoam, the Samsonite gorilla could of handled this package and probably not hurt it. Set up was very easy, put in oil (funnell included, oil not included) non-ethanal gas and it started on the first pull. Ran it for an hour with a very light load (very small refrigerator) and then changed the oil. Ran it for an hour again (with the fridge) and then changed the oil again. Then I ran it for an hour again with the fridge and the wash machine running, the idea being to put a little more varying load on it. Then I changed the oil again. Now with 3 hours of break in time I fiquered it should be ready. So I ran it with the window ac, the fridge, the wash machine, a fan, and a few lights. The power meter showed the load at 25% . Ran it for an hour and then changed the oil again. The last oil change came out clean with virtually no visible metal flecks. The first change had alot of flecks, the second a little, the third just a few, and the last one virtually none. Pros: has a fuel gage and two and a half gallon fuel capacity, it should be able to run overnight without refueling, we shall see. Also has a power percentage meter that shows how much load is on the unit . Being open frame it was very easy to change the oil and refill it. The unit is very compact and takes very little space. When running it wasn't overly loud, not as quiet as an enclosed inverter but not screaming, can hear it 3 blocks away like a normal generator. Overall very impressive. Con: at about 70 pounds the unit is just heavy enough to warrant caution when you have to move it. For me it's OK , I not going to be constantly moving it around, but for powering a rv or a situation were you have to constantly move it, unless you can mount it semi permanently or put some kind of wheels on it, I would not recommend it. ... show more

Great product! Fires right up!!! Anyone skeptical about this product, don't be. It works very very well and the customer service is ABOVE and BEYOND! Only three stars for maneuverability because of its size and weight. I purchased a dolly for it and now I have no issues with it!!!!

I ordered this inverter generator because my motorhome one leaks oil and I’m tired of messing with it. I paid less than $400 for it and am very pleased. I added some oil and fuel, followed the instructions posted on the generator and it started right up. I plugged in my motorhome into it and turned on my 13,500 btu ac and it had no issues. It did hesitate a little when I also started the microwave but did recover quickly. I like the eco mode and the large gas capacity. I haven’t run it longer than 15 minutes, but if it lasts, this was a good buy! ... show more
