I bought 2 of these as my son and I approached going to Boy Scout Summer Camp this year. He and I had NEVER used any kind of store-bought mattress or pad when camping before, just occasionally building up a bed of leaves or pine needles under our tents. We were used to old school camping, no frills. However, we tried these at camp this year, and are both fully sold on using them during future camping trips. 1. They do the job -- about 2-inches of pad when fully inflated, which is enough to soften the hard ground for a good night's sleep. 2. This product is light and easily deflates and rolls up to store in a small pouch that is included with it. 3. This pad comes with what looks like a plastic pillow case, but it actually a very effective pump. Just attach it to the inflation hole in the pad, and roll it up, like trying to get the last toothpaste from a tube. In less than 30 seconds the pad is perfectly inflated. 4. The pad stayed inflated for the entire week of Scout Camp, no problem. It seems to be made from fairly durable material. 5. Finally, the size was entirely adequate -- I stand 5'10" and weigh 200, and the pad was plenty big enough for me, a little room to spare all around. ... show more

This air mattress is very lightweight and incredibly easy to inflate. I like the bag method of inflation for this mattress much better than the twist valve system on other inflatable camping mattresses. The mattress gets you off the ground and has numerous air pockets that create little pillows to support your body. It folds down to be incredible compact making it perfect for back packing or for people who don’t want to be bring lots of bulky items camping. The material feels durable and the stitches look to be high quality. The mattress feels sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. As other reviews mentioned the mattress does make some noise when being moved around but I didn’t find it bothersome. I've used this product 6 nights on various ground conditions during the summertime, including packed gravel and woodlands. It's durable and you can be reasonably assured this will not pop in the middle of the night, granted you've done some very basic clearing of your site for comfort. The ripstop fabric is impressively tough while maintaining comfortability,r factor, and quietness. *Personally, I think similar pads with thicker materials/higher weight would be durability overkill, especially for ultralight. C'mon. It's very comfortable for what it is and I'd be surprised to see any drastic difference with much more expensive, heavy pads. The cellular design pattern really does mold to the body in a way that mimics a much deeper mattress. The included pump bag is very efficient and can serve as a temporary waterproof bag(non submersible) in a pinch, which I thought was a nice touch. Havent put it inside a sleeping bag but im sure that would be a glove fit. The material is water resistant and Im confident it would operational with a very wet footprint. I did use this in a bad rainstorm and i was much more confident in this oad than my tent's rainfly. I bought this because of its portability and I am satisfied with its pack size and ease of disassembly. High quality 2 way valve and storage bags with secure sinches. Tip: I have found it easier to inflate, deflate, and fold this pad ontop of my tent or a Ridgeline, and this can GREATLY reduce chances of punctures. It's also easier to fold the pad more precisely. Lastly, I did what you're doing right now. All the reviews, comparing identical products, with or without the pillow scooter stick. They're all very nice but this once is actually a reliable addition to your long term set up. I'm gladly taking this on an extended backpacking trip in very diverse terrain, and am fairly certain I will continue to use this camping for 5 years. Not to be that guy, but if you take care of this equipment and look out for pointy sticks, loose keys, and nearby sources of heat/fire, this pad will probably last over ten years. The camo is pretty playful and not aggressive, although I would have chosen a high visibility color for multi use. I gave 4 stars only because I like to break up the data and also I feel that this product could have been a fraction lighter/smaller in packaging size, but very marginally. It's very pack size cost effective. Update: AUG 2023...The pad is still working perfectly as designed. One must ensure that all valve caps are firmly closed on pad because I did awake to a slightly deflated pad once. The toughness of the ripstop is holding up pretty well. Valves are intact. Bag is functional. Minimal to no wear on either. I used this pad another 10 nights (about 16 nights total?) In more diverse conditions, some with moderate debris, and no punctures. The comfort level is highly dependent on slope angle of site, debris removal, and absence of rocks/bumps. More expensive pads appear to be more comfortable but I have yet to test any in real time conditions. This pad suffices. Update april 2024:Pad has failed with 10+ leaks invisible to eye. I patched these holes with repair sealant but still defalt3d very quickly. All of the holes were in the seams between hexagonal bubbles. Irreparable. ... show more

I bought this pad for a recent kayak trip. It arrived within 12hrs of my order. It was surprisingly comfortable and it came with a pillow that doubled as a dry storage bag for the sleeping pad. It was easy to roll up and pack as well. I was even able to fit my toiletries into the storage bag. Overall I give it a 10/10. I can’t imagine anyone getting anything as good as this for the price. ... show more

    • Defective – Doesn’t Hold Air After One Use!

The media could not be loaded. I had high expectations for this hiking mattress, compact and easy to inflate but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. After just one use in the car (not even outdoor or on sharp surface!) it started losing air by the next night, and on the third day, it went completely flat after only 3 hours! I had to urgently buy another hiking mattress in the middle of my trip, which was incredibly frustrating. I never write bad reviews, but since there’s no option to return it, I feel compelled to warn others. Unless the seller reaches out to me, I’m leaving this here for anyone considering buying it.     • Very hard to inflate without an air compressor

The design seems to be comfortable so far. I could not pump it up using the inflation bag provided as I didn't have enough strength to do so. I was fortunate that I found someone to pump it up with an air compressor so that I could use it.
