This is probably my third sleeping pad in about two years. I had always been trying the inflatable ones and never again. This is a self inflating foam sleeping pad and it works wonders. You let it expand for about 10 to 30 minutes and you’re good to go. I weigh about 185 pounds. I am 5’5” female have a decent size chest and this was so comfy. I slept like a baby. My partner is about 260 and he is 6’7” male and he said it was comfortable. He can never find something that’s comfy for him due to his height and he loved this. This is a great sleeping pad and I highly recommend it for anyone who is able to take something that is quite large. Because the sleeping pad is pretty big you would not be able to use this to go backpacking but if you are car camping, this works great. ... show more

This did it's job. I bought it to make camping comfortable, and it delivered! I bought these for when we go camping with our car, and they worked so much better than any air mattress i have ever used. They were bulky even when deflated so i would not recommend for back packing or when space is super tight, but totally worth the comfort if you have the room. It took up about the same space as a decent air mattress and way less than a traditional foam pad so for comfort packing they are a good size. Just not for back packing. I will say inflation took a little tinkering to figure out. There is only one air hole, but it has two layers. We opened up the valve all the way (you can literally stick your finger in and touch the foam). We did this at first to let it really air out and stretch out for a full day before taking it camping. When intlating it to actually sleep we closed the first layer valve, but let the second layer open. This one has a one way valve to you can blow into it but the air is trapped and can't come back out. This allowed us to blow it full of air and it got super comfortable (make sure to close the valve fully before actually settling in for the night). Then to deflate you have to open the second layer valve, not the first layer. That allows air to travel freely, and the air leaves as you roll the pad up from the other side. Biggest issue is the carrier bags. First trip the handles on the bags for both pads i bought ripped out. I didn't buy the pads for the bags, so I'm not too upset, but still very cheaply made for sure expensive gear. ... show more

So, like I said: this thang exceeded my expectations. I'm 325 lbs. So there is a lot of me to love. There is also a lot of me to be suspended above rocky and rough ground and this sleeping pad does so in glorious fashion. Now, even with all of me that there is to love, I couldn't get this pad rolled up tight enough to get it back in the carrying bag it came with. I mean, I'm sure it's do-able, but with so much wonder, joy, food, destinations, and polyamory in the world who has time for squeezing excess air out of a sleeping pad? Not this guy. It does also come with a pair of elastic bands that wrap around it when rolled up and since I could easily get those around it, well... good enough for me. I have a 4" memory foam mattress that rolls up to about the circumference of a large, oak whiskey aging cask. This mattress rolls up much more compact than that comfy cozy old thang so, again, good enough for me. It did self inflate as advertised, which was... like... super f@#$ing trippy dear readers of reviews. I did blow a few extra breaths into it, and that did firm it up perfectly, but that was just a peripheral benefit considering my exclusive intent when wrapping my lips around the inflator was bedtime foreplay. I dunno', I think this is the first time I have ever written a review of a product on Amazon, so I guess I could have led with that little factoid and let the dear readers draw their own conclusions based on my zealotry. But instead I decided to take a few moments to share a more personal experience with this sleeping pad. If you need details like "its very thick foam so likely won't pop" there it is. Very well made product. Its ideal for car camping, roof top tent aspiring-Instagram-overland-influencer steez, or just putting between your sexy self and some hot-ass beach sand. If I could do it all over again, I would spend the extra money for this over more frugal options because I have a feeling that my relationship with this pad will last much longer than any other I have had.     • Comfortable even when side sleeping.

Bought this just under a year ago. Have taken it out on several car camping trips, in cold and hot weather. I'm 5'7" and about 210 lbs. I built a sleeping platform for a Rav4, for two people and this pad fits just right. The low profile works well as its firm enough to have a restful sleep yet not so thick that I feel I am sleeping in a coffin. I have slept both with the valve open and closed. Closed offers the right firmness for me, but my wife prefers open as its a little softer. The pad does not have that weird plastic mattress feel like other pads, it breathes enough where you don't sweat or feel uncomfortable. Only grip is the carry bag. The strap started to tear off on day one, and finally tore off on my last trip (1 year later). The sewing is to blame, cheap string??? Despite the bag issues, I LOVE this mattress. I tend to sleep on my side as well, and the foam provides enough support and comfort for me. I highly recommend this product. Please fix the storage bag. I was really worried when I lifted the mattress from the bag strap and heard the sewing start tear on the first day. Not a good first impression. But having used it several times over the year, its definitely worth it. ... show more
