  • OVERPRICED!!!
ONLY USE FOR A BASIC DESKTOP BUILD OR HOME LAB. This unit originally retailed for $79. Destiny 2 barely runs at 40fps on low settings. Your best bet is to wait it out until the GPU shortage is over. At this price, you should be able to get 3 of these units at least.

  • Great card for zippy 4k regular day to day desktop work
I acquired a cast-off PC that had been used for video editing with 4 X 10 core Xeon, a ton of RAM, SSD, and a NVIDIA GeForce 1080 GTX Ti. The NVIDIA was noisy, overkill for what I needed, and has notoriously bad Linux drivers. This RX550 was a slam dunk into the system, very quiet (hardly noticed in my very quiet home office) and drives my 4k monitor for my daily work smooth and fast. It may be ok (from other reviews) for light gaming but since that isn't a Thing for me and need only to show a lot of windows for work, it's stellar. ... show more

  • Good card lacks cooling but could upgraded to get the most out of it
Great card but cooling is lacking the card runs around 70c before the cooling upgrade i did has great potential but cooling is what holds it back I put a artic mono plus gpu cooler on it. It helped a lot since I it had a form factor similar to the card it helped a lot. If you choose to try it be careful and match the washer s the to the old cooler so you get the right mount pressure on it. The picture of the heat sink is the cooler off the card. ... show more

  • Great GPU at a great price!
I bought this for a 2012 Dell XPS 8500 (i7-3770) to replace the NVidia GeForce GT620 that came with the PC, which is now 8 yrs old. I haven't yet upgraded to Windows 10, but plan to soon. Even though I researched various GPU's before purchasing, I had not noticed that neither AMD nor PowerColor publish a Windows 8.1 driver package for this. So I was a little disappointed at first; however, thanks to another review here, I found a video on YouTube where the guy installs an AMD RX-570 in Windows 8.1 using the Windows 7- 64 bit driver package downloaded directly from AMD. This worked well for this RX-550 and the card seems to be fully functional. The software that comes bundled with the card won't install unless I upgrade to Windows 10, so I can't comment on that. To see what the card was doing, I downloaded GPU-Z and all looks healthy. At first, Windows only reported 1GB on board the GPU (even though address mappings in Hexadecimal were for 1-4GB). GPU-Z reports the memory accurately. I'm not sure this will resolve when I upgrade to Windows 10 either, as it seems to be a Windows bug from what I've been reading. Performance is now snappy, and it's nice not to have the noisy fan running from the old GeForce, which was a great card when new and has served me well. I recommend this card if you can find one. For the price, it's a great deal! One last note, it fits perfectly inside the case, but please know in advance that due to the thickness of the fan it takes up 2 slots. ... show more

  • Good graphics at a good price.
This was an upgrade on my system from a 1GB ADM graphics card that I put in my system from 2012. This was a 4GB card and the price was good at the time, under $100. It quadrupled the memory for half the price, effectively bringing me to 2016 in my gaming graphics. My main game is the Sims4. I think it does a good job. The fan runs fairly high and is about as loud as the old one. I am assuming the extra 3GB makes a difference, but playing games over a network will at times present issues, lags, and glitches. I would recommend this card for those with an older system or a light gaming system. ... show more

  • Decent GPU for my budget build
I purchased this card back in November when it was below $100 and the only 4GB DDR 5 card I could find at the price point. I had a mother board (ASUS) that had built in graphics but wanted to keep my video processing separate from my system processing task and not split up the memory between the two. This clearly isn't a blow away the competition card nor is it a flashy "light up the night" card, but it gets the job done. I am using it with two monitors (HDMI and DP) and so far I have had no issues. I am using it with an Intel i5 core (10th gen) and an Asus TUF Gaming MB with 16GB RAM. Playing games is decent and I can use the "High" setting but the Ultra type settings I do notice some lag - enough to make me switch back to High settings instead of using Ultra. I'm not really into graphic intense gaming or work so this card suits my purposes. ... show more

  • Pretty Sweet!
Bought this for an upgrade to an older AM3 motherboard for my wife’s work computer. After flashing the bios it worked perfectly. Definitely wouldn’t call this a gaming graphics card by any means but for work purposes it works like a charm!

  • Excellent little GPU!
I was able to make this work in a PC that only runs at 260w. I do experience some bottlenecking, but the graphics performance has more than doubled. I would not recommend running it with such low wattage, but it will still work if you you need an upgrade, and if it doesn't fit in your case, just get a PCI riser. I am very happy with this graphics card, and I can't wait to see the performance when my 450w PSU arrives in 4 days. I am also a YouTuber and Twitch streamer, and this works very well for recording, I have yet to test a live stream with it, but judging the quality improvements on my tiny little pc, it is probably going to be my best streaming so far. Much love and peace to all. ... show more
