  • Quality, affordable Power Supply
Style: AGV650
My first impression upon receiving the Aresgame AGV650 was that the packaging looked good. I've purchased a lot of computer parts and power supplies over the years, and I've had a lot of poorly packaged items arrive. Opening the shipping box and finding a nice, clean looking product box was a nice start. Opening it up, I found that the packaging inside was just as good. I should have taken more pictures! Everything was well organized, separate bags for all the smaller pieces, documentation, information on contacting the manufacturer, etc. Sidenote: I reached out to support with a question and received an extremely fast reply, so that's a great sign with regards to the product as well. Perhaps my favorite little item was the included "Quick Inspection Tool", and warning/suggestion that the purchaser use the tool before plugging the power supply into their computer. I have tested a lot of power supplies over the years, often by using a wire or the 'paper clip method' to jumper the positions together on the ATX plug. Having a handy little pre-made jumper tool to do the test is great. Perhaps these are common these days, but I didn't have one, so it was immediately added to my tool box. Thank you Aresgame! The power supply itself looks good. Simple, well made, didn't feel flimsy or cheap. I tested it before plugging it in, and everything looked great. I hooked it up, and it's been working very well. No issues so far, and it's quiet. I installed it in my gaming rig, and it's done a great job handling everything so far. All in all, a great product at a reasonable price. If I have any issues down the road, I'll revisit this review, but all signs point to this being a great purchase. I recommend everyone check out Aresgame products. ... show more

  • Works 💪
Style: AGV650-Watt
It's perfect size for sleeper builds gives mini itx,atx size cases. They give a 24 pin tester to test the box which is a great tool. Quality it smells like plastic first open because there's plastic but it is perfect for my sleeper build. Wire assortment is easy they gave me zip ties and screws to hold the psu. 100% worth the price. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive for upgrading older systems
Style: AGV650
Edit 2-1-24: I gave this PC to a friend as I built a new PC from the ground up for me. He uses that PC everyday and this PSU is still going strong, no issues what 4 years later? Original review: I bought this to replace an aging PSU in a 2015 Dell XPS 8700. The size (Dimensions) was a Direct replacement for the old OEM 460 watt. This came with an 8 pin and another 8 pin (4+4) eps CPU connector. My Old Dell OEM MB uses a single 4 pin, so I was able to split the 8 pin and plug in the 4 to the MB. Then this has a modern PCIe 8 pin (6+2)(2 on same line) for video cards. so if you need a 6 pin, then just split off the 2 pin to make a 6. if you need the 8 the don't do anything and plug it in. It also has plenty of sata connectors and even a few OLD 4 pin molex connectors for older connections. Though I did not nor will I use the 4 pin molex, but it is nice to know they are there if I need them. The cables are a solid black color. NO ketchup and mustard colors here! They are lengthy cables make it easy to reach different layouts. Though my MB is a Mini ATX so they are very long for me. This makes cable management difficult. But that is not the fault of the PSU but one of my oem case. As for the Fan I cannot hear it so it is very quiet. The PSU comes with a sperate switch so I do NOT have to rely on the case power button to make sure its off. This also allows me to leave it plugged in for a ground and still drain the system of power. then I can connect my anti static bracelet and not worry about static buildup while I am working on the PC. I VERY MUCH appreciated item on an inexpensive unit. The unit came with a tester which really is just to see if it turns on, thats really it. I didn't expect it at all so it was nice to have it included in the box. As for longevity I cannot speak of because I have only had it installed for a week, but so far no issues. I will update if I have any. In conclusion, I was very worried about a brand that I have never heard of but So far I am loving it. A lot of nice touches for a lower end inexpensive psu. I am very happy with my purchase. P.S. A previous reviewer said that this will NOT work in older dell computers. I do not know which Dell he was trying to put it into or how old the system was, but for my 2015 8700 XPS, it fits and works perfectly. ... show more

  • Budget PSU that isn't lacking
Style: AGV650
This PSU is very well priced for its rating. It has a chunky heft to it and runs quietly, which bodes well for its operational life. Numerous cables are available, and it includes a jumper for the motherboard plug so you can give it a test startup before doing the time-consuming work of hooking it up. Snap-together plugs for the GPU hold together snugly. No bells and whistles, but that means you aren't paying for those either. I'll update this review if anything changes, but so far would buy again. NOTES ABOUT INSTALLATION: -The clip on the mobo plug couldn't QUITE reach the bottom of the catch on the motherboard socket. This isn't a big deal as that's a very snug connection, and there are a ton of differently shaped sockets. -The latch on the CPU plug is nice and big, and should be easy to operate even if, like mine, your motherboard puts this plug waaaaaay in the back of the case. -The fan on mine continues to rotate freely for almost a minute after shutdown, indicating well built bearings and housings. -Most cables are not wrapped, as they would be on more expensive PSUs. This has very little effect on their function; you can put your own mesh sleeves on if you want. -Comes with zip ties for cable bundling and replacement screws in case this is an OEM build or you ruin your old ones. ... show more
