• Cutting Tool for Fiber Cement BoardThis universal shear head cutting tool is an must accessory and will chuck into any 18 Volt or higher-rated cordless or AC-powered drill. It is designed for cutting 14- 12 thickness Backer fiber-cement backer board indoors with less mess and dust.
• Meet Different Cutting ShapesThe shear head can rotate 360 degrees and easily makes straight, right-angle and curved cuts, as small as a 3 diameter. It will cut circles in the backer board as small as 3-inch diameter holes for toilet flanges, and can also make 90 corner cuts in situations like HVAC vent cut-outs. When cutting holes, you first have to cut a pilot hole, to do this we used a 1" bit and then used the shear head for the circle cut.
• Easy to UseThe Shear head tool is easy and simple to operate and can attach to any drills. Just insert the tool handle into either of the threaded holes for both right or left-hand and tighten it. Insert the shaft of the tool into the drills chuck and tighten it. By placing the tool flat on the board with your off hand on its handle and your dominant hand on the drill's trigger, then engage the drill to cut the shapes.
• Adjustable Left or Right HandleThe handle of this shear cutting tool can be installed and positioned for left or right-handed users. The shear blades are also replaceable if needed. It cuts the fiber cement board with a shearing action that does not produce airborne dust. The spade bit is the only part of the process that produces dust.
• Less Mess and Less DustIt's faster cutting and easier to use than the other tools. This allows you to cut and install in place, versus going outside to make cuts, saving time on the installation. It also reduces the possibility of us damaging the wall or trim as we carry backer board in and out of the house to cut it.
