In the past 10 years I have continued to purchase these batteries whenever I run out. I have compared them to others but have found the PowerOne batteries to be reliable (not one bad one in 10 years) and provide long life. To make them last longer, just pull the tab off a new one and let it sit for two minutes prior to inserting into the hearing aid. I also take them off at bedtime or any other time that I can sneak in a nap, and never wear my hearing aids outside in our hot and humid weather when working in our yard. Heat and humidity are bad for the batteries and potentially damaging to your hearing aids. These 60 batteries will last me over two months depending on how much downtime I give them. The batteries arrived exactly when promised, and one Power One battery was installed to compare life and quality with the batteries currently in use. As yet, it is too soon to comment on battery life. However, the doctor who prescribed the hearing aids said that the Power One brand was the best, in her experience; battery performance depends on many factors. Furthermore, several websites that rate hearing aid batteries place Power One batteries at or near the top of batteries rated. Even if it turns out that the Power One batteries do not last significantly longer than the ones currently in use, the price through Amazon (on sale, at the time) is better or equal to the best price for any batteries available anywhere. ... show more

    • Steady, reliable batteries-- without the mercury

I depend on batteries for addressing my bilateral hearing loss. These German-derived and -produced mini-discs lasted a full week in my hearing aids when I started them this past summer. They were appropriately priced and had a guarantee the customer-user could fall back on if needed. I just completed my annual auditory exam and learned that my aids, 5 years old, had lost much of their original quality, which caused (rather recently) a gradual shortening of battery life. The batteries were fine when the "ear-tools" were highly functional, but time weakened the aids, so the batteries were over-working to keep them working at all.     • Good battery but inconsistent battery life

I’ve used this brand for about four years when I started wearing Phonak hearing aids. I’ve gone through a number of these battery packs in that time. Never had a dead battery but I’ve noticed that with some orders, the batteries do not last as long as others. Initially, I was normally into the eighth day before the batteries died. In the last package of battery packs (expiration 2022) I received, I sometimes have trouble getting into the seventh day before they die. I’ve tried Kirkland batteries and found them to be more consistent - get into the eight day. However, you do have to watch the advertised prices on Amazon once they tend to fluctuate. ... show more

I did check the voltage on these batteries when first put in use and got 1.45 volts with an accurate Fluke multimeter. Others I've used didn't reach this voltage even after being exposed to the air for several minutes. I just wish they lasted longer but I suppose they'd have to be larger or be constructed from some magic chemical. ... show more

I have tried off and on, many batteries since I started wearing hearing aids. These are the best IMHO. As we all get old, taking off the tab on the back of the battery becomes a chore with our arthritic hands. Amazon’s Best battery lasts as long as these, but the tab is hard to grab. Power One batteries have consistent charge. With my hearing aids, there is a significant difference in charge life with other batteries. (one battery goes dead before the other). I had hoped to get a week at a time out of these for my hearing aids but only got 5 days. Have to always carry a set with me in case I need a battery change. They are not bad and about average life but I have had some that lasted 7 days before and thought I would try these. Not quite as good.
