This cap is NICE and CHEAP by comparison with other farad caps. It works perfectly for what I need it to do. I have it supplementing the current needs of a Power Acoustik Stax 4000 watt mono block and a Stax 1600/4. Before it was installed the highs would dim and the bass would get muddy an never quite reached full potential during difficult musical passages. Now that it is installed the highs are bright and the lows can play for days as loud as I want with out taking a break. In short I would recommend this to anyone who is not ready to get the bank of batteries and the high powered alternator for several hundred dollars. Although if you can afford it go for it it can't hurt and this would be the icing on the cake. This Farad cap will help tremendously with giving your amps what they crave instantaneous high current spikes up to 14 or more volts. This.... makes me smile. very good capacitor....i had a 5500 watt amp but it blew before i got this capacitor......i got a brutus hifonics now and and this cap works perfect...my bass hits harder and my mids are clear.......for the price get this cap

I had this installed with a complete brand new system by best buy the cap smoked and blew up in my trunk on my way back home. They say they will refund my money if i send them back the junk they sold me but yet id have to pay over the price of the cap to uninstall do not buy this junk

This cap is good for its price. It's a good brand as well. This cap does very well with heavy bass, but it doesn't seem to like a ton of it or else it can't keep up with it. I bought this cap to keep my headlights from dimming so much, and it fixes 90% of the problem. I can still notice slight dimming, but not as much. So it's doing exactly what I want it to do. There is one thing that surprises me, and that is that even though the remote signal is off, the positive terminals are still live. So be careful. Anyways, it does what I bought it for and it looks really nice. 4/5, I would recommend this item. ... show more

I bought this cap even though the majority of the reviews I read were negative. I didn't know what to expect, but I was hoping for more db out of my system. Holy cow!!! I had it professionally installed and I gained 2db. I was hitting 142db and now I'm registering 144db. I have two 2400 watts amps pushing 4 12 inch Alpine subs and I know my system was underpowered before, but I was amazed at the difference this cap made. Hopefully I'll stop killing alternators also. ... show more

Now, I really didnt want to give it any stars right away until i have had it hooked up but here is a problem, I just received this product today, it comes in a case, the front of my case had two decent sized cracks in it, as if my farad cap had been thrown around carelessly, on certain areas of this farad cap, there are areas where it has been roughed up, makes me even wonder if I pay for something that was used when clearly, i bought it brand new, lastly, the center has 3 circular things that are visible, they do not look aligned and by my guess of how my package came with cracks in the casing, it was probably thrown around creating it to look the way it does. I will hook it up and hope that there are no problems, I dont know what carrier they used, I used amazon prime, I will no longer do neither, I'm so far a little disappointed and I havent even hooked it up yet, I hope it works okay, I'll give you an update later on down the road. ... show more
