These are great chairs and very comfortable! As other reviews mention, the swivel is very stiff -- probably meant for turning enough to exit without having to push back but if you are a fidgeter and expecting an easy swivel, you will be disappointed. I have to laugh at the various reviews that go from piece of cake to assemble to not so easy. It is true, the instructions are clear. The included tools are fairly dinky so if you have a 10 mm ratchet socket you will be much happier! And yes my husband broke out the forbidden power tools to finish tightening all of the many bolts, but he could put a maximum torque on it. Definitely attach the arms to the back of the chair before the seat base. We found the manufacturing tolerances were a bit sloppy so be prepared to thread the bolts into the holes before attaching anything to clean them out. In any case we love these chairs and whether it was easy or mildly difficult to assemble, they are worth the effort! ... show more

As many others have said, I was hesitant to order furniture online and read all the reviews. I ordered two and was a little hesitant, but knew I could always return them. Nope, no way are these going back! I love the color, I love the style - and these are definitely built to last! They look like quality bar stools and I would have guessed the price as much more than I paid looking at them in person. They're unique and beautiful with the hammered design copper back and the the small flowers on the legs. It keeps them from looking "too manly". My husband had them together in no time and said that all parts were clearly labeled and everything went together very easily. He's quite handy, but it still means something that he gave them high marks! lol! I got them to go with a Home Styles oak counter height kitchen island that I also purchased on here and they look beautiful with it. They fit perfectly under the counter part, even with the arms. They are a little "tight" when swiveling, but I'm sure they'll loosen up with use. As for comfort, I had bought them with the intention of sitting in them for leisurely coffee or a meal, but with all the covid craziness I've had to work from home and have been sitting in one for 8 hours a day while working from home. And I still like them - so, that should say something for them! If you are one the fence, get them, I don't think you'll regret it! ... show more

So, it wasn't all that difficult to put together as some other reviews have suggested. I would say difficultly level of 3 out of 10. Leave all the hardware loose prior to final finish, as the directions state and its fine. Took me roughly 25-30 min and I was distracted with while watching the football game. Anyway, only 4 stars for comfort reasons. Looks and feels sturdy but the padding on the seat cushion is a bit inadequate for my liking. I've had my ass parked in this chair for over 30 min now (also while writing this review) and I need to find a cushion to help it not fall completely asleep. However, I have zero natural cushioning on myself, so, if you have extra in your back side, you may be ok. Would I recommend? Probably so. Its large enough, sturdy enough and looks halfway descent enough for my bar room. Only time will tell, and maybe the # of bourbons I have that can make me fall out of it. Either way, sounds like a good plan, ill go ahead a start the timer and pour myself a Blantons. Cheers. ... show more

These stools are a wonderful addition to my counter. They are heavy and very sturdy. With that said, I don't think these would be good around little climbers because of the weight. Love the fact they swivel.

Assembly: simple, fast, and easily handled by a single person. Sturdiness: big and tall branded. Pretty much enough said with that. Appearance: look like a quality item that you could have spent much more money on than you actually did. If you want a cheaper option with upscale appeal, this is a solid option. Comfort: thick padded seat. Sturdy back and arm rests. Convenient foot rest. It's all good. Overall: very pleased with these.
