  • Great value; accurate color; assembly takes some work
Color: Black"
Have only had the couch a short period of time, and I will try to remember to update this in 6-12 months to opine on the quality over time. HOWEVER, first impressions are great. ***UPDATE*** Couch has held up great! Zero breakage. Girlfriend's small dog who has a habit of clawing at things hasn't manged to tear the cloth at all. Cushions are comfy. I nap on it lots. All-in-all a great purchase. -----General----- Comfortable cushions, more firm than your typical cheap couch and seem like they will break in well. Size seems very slightly smaller than the advertised dimensions, definitely not larger. Color is spot on to the photos - Ash Black is basically a shade of darker gray. When properly put together there are no issues with the parts aligning and it feels solid when moved around. -----Assembly & Assembly Tips----- Not the easiest. I literally had to take a shower after fighting with this thing for about 45 minutes. Managed to put the legs and backs on by myself, but enlisted a 2nd person to help connect the two large sections. There are many reviews complaining about the backs popping off when leaned on, or the 2 large pieces attaching at a slightly different levels, or legs not being the same size. I also ran into each of these issues as I put it together, but all were 100% CORRECTED WHEN ASSEMBLED CORRECTLY. I cannot emphasize this enough. You need to quality check yourself as you go or these problems will happen to you. I have no doubt those comments are from people who have some parts wrong in their assembly. --Legs-- The legs are the easiest part (DO THEM FIRST), but it is still possible to mess up. First and foremost you need to ensure you have tightened all of the wood legs to the same intensity in order for them to all sit at an equal height. I found this easiest to do by tightening the legs COMPLETELY, to the point where there is NO WAY you could make another full revolution of the leg and still line up the screw hole. This led to them all being an equal height. It is easier to turn some legs than others, so I understand how one would stop once they seemed tight enough, but you need to make sure you turn them until there is just no way you can make another revolution. You will know what I mean. --Back & Bottom Connection-- The 'male-female' vertical slider joints (1 male, 1 female per slider- 2 sliders section - 4 sliders total) that hold the back to the bottom for each large section are pretty difficult to get correctly into place. It is very deceptive, and it will 'feel' like you have them on correctly, but in reality only one ridge of the slider may be in place. This leads to the back popping off when you lean back. Due to the cushioning is also difficult to visibly see if you have both ridges of the top/back part of the slider correctly inserted into the bottom/seat part of the slider. I ended up using the camera + flash function on my phone to take a video basically inside the couch to confirm if I had the male-female slider correctly lined up. I found at least 4-5 times that it felt like the slider was together, but I only got one edge. This needs to be perfect or you will run into issues. It also seems like the backs are very slightly shorter than they should be (to make sure it is a tight/tension fit, so you sorta need to squeeze each side/arms towards the other section in order to make a correct connection. Then make sure you push the backs ALL THE WAY down. Quality check: If you can't lean against the back without it popping out, or if the lower edge of backs are not completely flush & level with the bottom of the couch - you’re going to have to try again. --Connecting the Sections-- Use your lifeline and phone a friend. My goodness this was impossible on my own. We ended up bracing the 'love seat with wedge' part against a wall, one person pushing the 'couch' section towards the loveseat from one side, and then the other person applying downward pressure on the 'loveseat with wedge' section to click the metal clasps into place. We did run into the issue where the backs initially did not align at the same height, but with more force applied to push the pieces closer together, and a few strong downward presses it eventually popped into place. All in all, great value. Looks great, no weird chemical smell, pretty solid once it’s all together. Just expect some more difficult assembly. And if you don't have a rug, buy some rubber 'non-slip' stick on's at your local hardware store to put on the bottoms of the legs to prevent it from sliding around. Feels much nicer with those on. • Love 😍😍
Color: Grey
I’ve had this sectional for about 3 months and I’m delighted to say that I’m very happy with my purchase. I was looking for something stylish, large, sturdy and inexpensive for our tv room. This checks all the boxes. I have 3 kids, including 2 boys under 10 years old. It has held up very well to normal kids use. I’m pleased with the fact that the cushions are not removable so they are not constantly scattered everywhere, and the back portion of the sofa does not get squished and deformed from the kids sitting on it. It is so easy to keep it looking good. A quick wipe with a damp cloth get spills out easily. No noticeable stains anywhere after 3 months. Lastly, in terms of sturdiness, I’ve had larger adults over that have sat on the sofa together multiple times and it had held up to that as well. My only caveat is that the color is not exactly grey, there is a hint of green to it. But I still like it. Customer service was impeccable in dealing with the issues I had with my first delivery. Some pieces were not aligning well and one leg was loose after assembling it. They sent someone to replace one side of it and they came out very quickly. I have not had any issues with it since. I highly recommend this sectional sofa. ... show more

  • We got a good value, Know what you're getting
Color: Grey
So we read the reviews before buying and took the risk anyways. The couch came in two large boxes with each one containing a back and a bottom portion. Legs are in pouches sewn into the underside of the bottom portion and ours came with no damage to any parts. Putting it all together: Start by putting the legs on the bottom portion of whatever box you open first, putting the black plastic legs on the portions that will be against walls or middle of the bottom portion. Backs can be a little odd to get in place but suggest getting one side started and then pushing on the other side while sliding the back in place. Aligning the two portions proved difficult and took a couple of attempts especially given you cannot see the brackets while aligning them. Only issue we ran into during assembly was a couple of washer not fitting as it was hitting the leg, removed washers and continued without them as they should not make a big difference. Pros: Was able to get the couch together without too much frustration and went relatively quickly. We only paid a little over $500 for this couch, so for the price this couch has been a great deal. Couch is firm but being a 300lb+ 6' Male, not sinking into a couch is a blessing. My wife weighs < half of what i do but still says the couch is firm but comfortable. Cushions are stuck in place which make everyday use easy as you dont have them sliding around. The couch looks like a higher end couch that would normally costs much more. Nothing but compliments from those that have seen the couch. Cons: Cushions being stuck in place will make cleaning a little more difficult, not terrible just more work than if you could remove them. Fabric is a little rougher than our microfiber couch we were used to, but is still comfortable and have taken several naps on the couch. Additional throw pillows will probably need to be purchased as the two included will not suffice for such a large couch (side note: any throw pillows are better than none so the fact any were included was a bonus). Conclusion: If you can get a good price, would recommend buying based on my personal experience. Knowing how it turned out, we would have been happy still even if we paid $700-$800. ... show more
