I bought this set a couple of weeks ago and we have used them to peel apples, potatoes, carrots, etc. They work great and they are comfortable to use. My only complaint is that they feel cheap and I worry that they might deteriorate in the dishwasher if the outer finish chips or wears because they are not solid stainless steel. I got this set though to see if my wife liked the Y-style peeler because she has always bought the straight. I’ve had the same $0.99 peeler for 20 years. It was time for a change and these are an upgrade in every way. Very sharp. Eye remover on the sides will get you if you’re not careful. Very fine shavings that leave you with more vegetables in the end.
