Was sent a replacement bird, my first bird had only one wing that moved and the other side did not. The replacement bird, both wings did move and the motor was more robust so the bird overall had a little hop that made it more animated. For some reason I thought this toy had feet that made it stand up, but they do not. The feet are felt. However, when the bird is bouncing and if you put the feet toward the front it does look like the feet move. Overall, my 11 week old kitten is engaged with the bird. It charges quickly. It got more activity then the flopping fish. It does chirp which I like over the flopping fish that just makes a winding noise. The bird has been kicked and bitten multiple times with no damaged, so is very durable. I was sure the feathers would come off the tail (like what happens to cat teasers), but ironically the tail feathers are secured and have withstand constant pulling by a kitten and two other cats. The fur is really soft. It comes with a catnip bag. I would say to make it an ideal toy would be make it a refillable catnip bag as once the prefilled bag is useless than what? Luckily the cats play with it whether it has catnip or not. They will even wiggle their bottoms and dash toward it from a distance to attached. It is cute. ... show more

I do not have any bad reviews on this product. It works as advertised. It is very easy to use and to set up. Unfortunately, as a cat owner I understand that my cat can be a little weird. So, it did not work for him, because he completely ignored the toy. I do believe that other cats may be more proactive and more playful and they would find it, fun. I did report this to the seller and I received excellent customer service with very prompt responses. I do not have anything negative to say about that seller at all. They were very responsive. Do not let my review discourage you from getting this product. It just did not work for my cat in particular. ... show more

My cat had been playing with her favorite squeaking mouse that gave out on her. She's such a playful cat I had to replace it right away and I came across this little jewel when doing so. It's a hit. Everyday she plays with this and even in the night time. I have seen where some people don't like to hear the noise all the time however with us we love to hear the chirping knowing that she's a happy cat. Even in the middle of the night it's not so over bearing loud that we can't fall right back to sleep.     • Great toy for a mistreated rescued cat. SHE LOVES IT!!!

My cat Grey is a rescued cat; she was mistreated as a kitten and then dumped in the hallway when her "owners" (SCUM!) moved out in the middle of the night. So she's timid: I've had her for 4 years and she's just now letting me pet her sides and getting up on the bed at night. She tends to be timid around new experiences, but LOVES THIS TOY! It's chirping and flapping wings is so "natural" that she was 1st entranced and now actually bats and carries it around in her mouth. It's great to see her actually playing with a toy! (Except at night which is when she does a lot of her play activities.) I recommend this toy to every one. And it's durable and she can't tear it apart. I've taken to buying animated (chirping,tweeting...)cat toys for my toy dog because on too many occasions, my cat's ignored them and my dog's scooped in. This one was a little more money, but not far off from your average squeak toy. To my surprise, this one's well-constructed, comes with a cable to recharge it when the animation dies down, and chips and flaps in response to interaction (ie, it won't sound like the Amazon in your living room while your dog curls at your feet in your bedroom). It is large enough to be a substantial small-breed dog toy and seems to be handling a beating rather well. Whatever concoction of catnip and the other ingredient inside this toy made my cats go nuts not just for the toy but also the box that came in. Normally they don’t go super nuts over catnip, but this was an absolute exception. One of them loves the toy part too but he’s deaf so the chirping so for him it’s all about the smell and the material. I rescued a very young feral cat found in below zero temperatures with 5 kittens. With lots of love and care she has become a very loving and sweet pet. She has NO interest in any toys. She loves to watch outside birds. So I bought her this chirping bird toy. She LOVED it immediately. She cuddles with it against her chest when she naps. She treats it like her baby. So apparently my cats are boring, because I have 4, all different breeds and ages, and none of them were interested in this for more than a few minutes.
