  • Excellent Earth Auger
I use this in my landscaping company, and it works awesome. Saves me a lot of time and plows through various types of earth with eases. I've seen other people with more expensive augers that they couldn't start or wouldn't dig through the earth like my DC House Auger does. I've loaned my out because people know my unit works. No need for two guys either, I can hold on to this Auger with ease, it's fast, and gets the job done. I love it. ... show more

  • Great Auger for the money.
This Auger did a very good job. We utilized the 8in attachment and were very pleased. It came in 2 separate boxes as the seller said. Instead of mixing at 35, I bought the premixed 40 and it works fine. Easy start and plenty of power. Would be nice to have a reverse on this but that’s something for a higher priced unit. Overall very happy so far. Easy job with 2 people. ... show more

  • Easily Worth Ever Cent!
I'm spent most of my life on the farm digging post holes the old fashion way so using a gas post-hole digger seemed sacrilegious to me at first. The only reason I bought this post-hole digger was due to my dad having cancer and the pain medication has made his legs extremely weak so he wasn't really being able to help anymore. Being a one man show, I had to figure out how I was going to move 28 head of cattle with 20 head of baby calves using our old cattle corral which was never designed for baby calves. Basically, I needed to put up woven wire in a hurry because winter weather was fast approaching. Needless to say, I was able to install the corner post braces in less than an hour thanks to this tool. Ultimately, we got our cows/calves moved just a day before the cold weather and rain set in. So the real question is .... Is it worth the asking price? You bet it is and I feel kind of foolish never buying one these post-hole diggers sooner. The digger is a little hard on the forearms but if you go slow it will work out fine. I also might add that the carburetor as far as I can tell has NO ADJUSTMENT screws for the LOW/HIGH speed settings but it still starts fairly easy. I also seen one description that called for 25:1 fuel mixture and the manual calls for a 30:1 mix. I used a 25:1 and it worked just fine without any excessive smoking so take that bit of information for what it's worth. Just so you know, the power-head assembly arrived about a week before the auger/extension kit did. ... show more

  • Great Running Machine
Starts every time, runs great, and sips fuel. It’s a perfect one-man auger. My ground is compacted sand, and it powers right through it.

  • D c auger
The auger worked great easy to start easy to use You have to remember to pull it out every couple mins if in red clay and be ready for it to jerk outta your hand when using 8” auger in clay Used it to put in a 6” round service pole with the extensions it was no prob to get to the 4’ depth I needed very satisfied with product does what I need ... show more

  • Outstanding Auger!! Ships in TWO boxes (bits seperately)
Easy to start. Use premix fuel/oil. I did 22 post holes in clay soil with ease - one person. Kicks back a little when it hits a larger rock, but nothing you cannot handle. Never use "cruise control" on an auger for safety.

  • 40 post holes and counting
This little auger does the job. Hooked up the 8" bit to dig some post holes, started it up and off it goes. Assembly and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Starting it up takes a couple of pulls, but then idle for a minute or so and it is ready to go. Have 80 post holes to dig over a few weekends, looked into renting an auger, price was outrageous. Figured give this a go, and so far, it has been a good choice. About halfway through the project and no issues. ... show more

  • Works great in clay & rocky soil
My items packaging was damaged during shipping and the extension pieces were lost, the seller ECO LLC was easy to contact, responded very fast and sent out a replacement set immediately. As far as the auger and bits. We’re using this auger to dig holes for our plants & post on our farm in North Carolina. We have lots of hard clay soil filled with rock of all sizes. The auger easily powers through the clay. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago, trying to dig a lot of holes using post hole digger and shovel was wearing us out here. We got the 4”, 6”, 10” set with extensions. We plant our tomatoes deep at least 12” deep or more so this machine is a real back saver. We have hundreds of plants here and it’s just me and my wife. I can just go right down the rows taking just seconds to make each hole for our plants. Make sure to mix your fuel ratio correctly and it starts and runs perfect. Next planting season this is going to make life so much easier. ... show more
