If you're in the market for a replacement/backup NACS/Tesla charger this is exactly what you need! This charger literally checks off everything when shopping for a EV charger. Its rated at 40AMP with its 1450 plug with a 25ft cable. It comes in a OEM like zipper storage case that can easily be stored in your frunk. It also comes with mounting hardware for the charging unit and the plugs itself if you want to mount them permanently. The charging unit itself also has a built in LCD screen that displays all relevant charging stats including temp, AMPS, charging rate/kW, and charging time. You do have the option to select your charging amp using the "A" button to toggle through the menu. The charger supports between 10AMP up to 40AMP. Yes you can plug it into a 110V outlet with an adapter but realistically you should use it with a 1450 outlet to utilize this charger to its full MAX capabilities. I have been looking for a portable charger for my Tesla, primarily for when I am visiting family and don't want to run out to charge. I was hesitant to try an off-brand product for charging, but thought I would give this one a try as a test. The first few times I used it, I monitored it pretty closely both for performance and to check for overheating. I used an IR thermometer to see if the charger was overheating in any area - so far so good. Bought this for 2024 Tesla Model S. At first, it appeared to have been functioning. Specifically the button on the charting handle would open the charge port and unlock the charge port fine. After a few days, the button stopped opening the port. After a few days, the charge handle button would not unlock the charge port. Finally, today the charger would not charge at all. We did not get a level ond cable and did not see any point in plugging our Tesla X into a 120V outlet with the slow rate of charging that provides anyway. This cable has let us plug into our dryer outlet and set the charging speed to keep from blowing the fuse. It is our commute car and we seldom drive more than 100 miles in a day. There's no need to go spend a bunch of money on the Tesla factory charger with an option like this available. You can save a few hundred bucks and this unit is also fully portable so you can throw it in your frunk on road trips. A very handy portable charger with a bunch of settings depending on what you are charging and how fast you want it to go. Works perfectly with your standard J177x adapter for any non-tesla vehicle as well. I love the fact that you can use this as your standard Level 2 home charger on a standard 240 clothes dryer style socket or unplug and take it to your campground or RV park and enjoy either level 1 or level 2 charging depending on the facilities.
