This is a lot smaller than expected. The ball has to perfect full into the hoop. The quality is plastic which is perfectly fine but the rim is too small.

So this is a fun little addition to any back yard environment and its not too hard to set up however I will say our set only lasted about a week. Our main use was outside, specifically from the pool and so my two kind of critical observations are that one, don't miss the backboard or your likely to be getting out of the pool a lot (Small backboard). Second, it does have a tendency to fall over even when well weighted from the bottom. More than once the net/board/system would fall over with just enough wind and force when the ball hit it that it would fall over. I changed fillers at the bottom from water to sand and it helped but shortly after than one ball stopped holding air and they the backboard cracked a day later and so its just kind of off tot he side. Price for what you get I guess is about what you'd expect but I'd say its not as solid as I'd have liked. ... show more

This basketball hoop is perfect for our in-ground pool at our vacation home. It is made of good quality, thick plastic that should hold up to the elements. The hoop itself may not last a really long time in the hot Florida sun because the nylon is pretty thin, but it should last a while. There are basic instructions on the side of the box on how to put together, but I wish they had more detailed pictures as it was a little confusing to see how all the parts fit together. It comes with 4 smaller basketballs and a pump to pump them up, which is nice. That way more than one person can shoot at the basket or if one of the balls goes outside the water, you don't have to get out and retrieve it every time. I think the price is a little high as I've seen them at our local pool supply store for around $40. I don't know what the quality of their product is, however, so it may not be a good comparison. Overall, I would recommend this product and I can't wait to play basketball in the pool with my grandkids. ... show more

This unit is okay as a toy for a very small child, but that’s about it. Pretty flimsy and lightweight, but not bad for a first basketball hoop. I have mine out by the pool for the kids and they seem to like it, though it doesn’t occupy them for very long because it’s so small and not really practice for a more “serious” game of basketball. The small rim and backboard make king shot very difficult and doesn’t afford blocking the ball very well on this kissed shots. Get ready to go for a hike to retrieve the ball. Product is smaller than pictures show and very flimsy! Very disappointing! It is very cheaply made. Easily to put together and water fills the base to keep it upright. NOt made for adults to use and more suitable for kids under 10 years old.

This basketball hoop is much smaller than I had pictured. It is perfect for small children, it also has an option to make it stand taller to play basketball indoor or outdoor play. It is great quality and very easy to assemble. It is a great addition to any pool.
