Easy to spread out. It is currently catching red oak leaves (Nov) that are falling into my pond. One problem: laid netting on top of Ceanothus Yankee Point. Literally no weight on the plant, only contact between netting and leaves. Within 2 weeks this plant died. It had been growing successfully in that spot for the last 12 years. I do not see any gopher holes. I have no fish in the pond so I do not know about any toxic compounds from the net. So be cautious. I am in central coast California (think Monterey Bay). ... show more

This net seems quite strong and was easy to set up over my pond. Before I was cleaning out leaves twice a day and now not a single leaf falls in my pond. What a time saver and it will also keep out predatory birds too!
