This filter is amazing! We had gone all winter without filtering our Koi pond. With drastic changes in temperature, it became green and murky. After installing and running the filter for just over 24 hours, it was unbelievably clean. And cleaning the filter is easy. No need to take it apart and remove the sponge filters, just turn a switch to reroute the flow, like backwashing a swimming pool. Then turn a crank type handle to agitate the filter balls inside the filter housing. A clear spout lets you know when the water is clear. Nice filter with built-in UV light. Installation was easy but did run into a problem with the UV enclosure. The enclosure has to be unscrewed to remove a foam protector that is over the lamp tube. After putting the UV enclosure back on and starting the pump the enclosure started leaking. I removed it several times to clean the contacts and check the 'O' ring but it would still leak. Had to use a silicone sealant to stop the leak. After contacting Vevo support they were very responsive to the issues I was having and did not stop until my problem was solved. The filter is good quality and well worth the price. Would recommend to to hers. ... show more

Sadly, this did not work not even at 1%. I didn’t know we only had a month to return it and I was a week too late. I wish it did its job in filtering the water. Disappointing. If you give it a try pay attention to the return time.

I have 1100+gallon pond with 22 koi fish and this filter with a pump will filter all the water and make it crystal clear. My water was constantly green and murky, now it is perfect. Every so often I turn the handle to “clean” the interior filters and turn the nozzle to out and pump out some of the sludge from the bottom of the pond. Easy to use and my water fall is beautiful now. It’s a must buy for bigger ponds! ... show more

These pressurized systems are always a pain to get into to clean the filter media. Most have a backwash setting but only seems to clean the container and not filters when on. This one is better with the crank handle. You can tell a huge difference and know that the filter media is getting cleaned out! ... show more

The filter seems to work great at clearing the water pond cleared up in a couple of days but the UV Light quick working after a couple of days so now it's turning green from algae growth contacted customer service and still waiting to hear back with solution
