Description

The PolarPro GoPro Hero5 SHOOTER 3-Pack is an excellent value for the aspiring filmmaker or content creator. The Shooter 3-pack includes 3 filters that will help improve your video and image quality without having to do any post-production work. The Polarizer is the perfect tool for reducing glare and increasing color saturation making your content POP. The Polarizer filter is great for almost all conditions where you are happy with the shutter speed and looking to make thinks a little more vibrant. The ND8 Neutral Density filter will help reduce your shutter-speed by 3 F-Stops, giving your video a more natural smooth, cinematic look. The ND8 filter is great for users trying to slow down the native high-speed shutter on the Hero5, and bring it back to a nice smooth composition. The Gradient ND filter is the third filter in the set and is used for capturing stunning sunsets or sunrises. The ND-GR filter is dark on the top and clear on the bottom. The dark section helps reduce the brightness of the sky, while the clear section allows the ground to remain unchanged. This filter helps balance the exposure between the bright sky and the darker ground. When mastered the ND8-Gradient filter will produce jaw-dropping compositions your viewers will praise you for. The Shooter 3-Pack includes a custom case to keep all the filters protected and ready to use. Set Contains: Hero5 Black - Venture Filter 3-Pack

  • Am enjoying my PolarPro Macro Lens for GoPro Hero5 Black
Style: Macro Lens H6/H5
Product works great! I did read the many reviews on this and am quite happy so far. Below is a pic taken by the PolarPro macro lens for my Gopro Hero5. Tip: keep it to 1920x1080 video, Linear for nice crisp non distorted video or pic. use the Included Tether to attach lens to camera. It might to fall off if you don't. This is more for hand held macro, not for bumpy rough skateboard or motor bike terrain.( unless u super glue it on). I LIKE that it pops on /off the lens easy so can switch between macro and normal very fast, when out doors, in forest, botanical gardens, or a photogenic spider / insect decides to strike a pose for you. :D I also like that its not necessary to screw, clamp, or remove the actual Gopro lens. Just pop on off and ready to shoot. -Pic below is of toothpics. -Update 2nd week with it. May 15 , still happy , no problems. New pic > inside of Tulip. Sizes scaled down to fit here. ... show more

  • These scratch when you breathe on them!
Style: Karma ND H6/H5
Not that they are that great before they get scratched. And if you want to replace one of them, you have to buy another useless ND32 (good for the surface of the sun) and nearly useless (except for skiing and watersports) ND16 to go along with it. GoPros are meant to take a beating. That means sometimes the ND will take some licks too. It would be really great if these were actual graded glass and not just coated. The coating comes off on first contact with anything! And maybe if PolarPro wanted to be smart about it, they would put the filter behind a protective replaceable layer. As it stands with these if you scratch the ND8 (the only one you will ever use regularly), you have to replace the whole frame as well, and get two more nearly useless filters just to get the one good ND8. Or maybe how about a 3-pack of ND8 filters? ... show more

  • Image Quality Is Very Disappointing
Style: Macro Lens H6/H5
I had high hope for this lens because I have only heard good things about Polar Pro products but this lens is complete garbage. Everything outside of the center of the lens is so soft that it looks like someone smeared vaseline on the lens. It work as advertised though. You can get closer to subjects and the lens fit snuggly on the GoPro. I was using it with the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Honestly if I could I would return it because the image quality is so bad I wouldn’t use any of the footage or photos. I waited too long and now I am past the return period so I am stuck with the lens. If you need a macro shot of something and you don't have a DSLR with a macro lens then just use your phone. I found my iPhone is great for macro shots even without any additional lenses attached. ... show more

  • Works Well. Indispensable For Outdoor Video And For Dash Can Video. I Ordered A Second One As A Spare. Good Value For $29.
Style: Polarizer Filter H6/H5
I primarily use my Hero 5 as a dash cam to create California road trip videos for youtube and for facebook. The windshield glare on the Hero 5 dash cam video was significantly degrading the quality of the video. The Polar Pro polarizing filter video immediately and significantly reduced the windshield glare in the dash cam video. I don't know how much physical abuse the filter can tolerate. My Hero 5 sits safely on my car dash when I am using it. I decided that this polarizing filter is so indispensable that I ordered a second one as a spare, in case I damage or lose the first one. The quality of the materials and construction appear adequate to me. It is a good value for $29. I actually looked for other options after I read some reviews that stated that the Polar Pro is too fragile. I could not find a glass polarizing filter that was better than this one. ... show more

  • This is a small glass lens in a somewhat rubberized ...
Style: Macro Lens H6/H5
This is a small glass lens in a somewhat rubberized plastic housing that slips onto the GoPro 5 and 6 lens. It fits well but could come off if jarred or bumped. I have not field used it yet since the weather in the frigid north is still unpleasant. I have, however, done table tests and it seems surprisingly sharp and gets the GoPro focus down to just under 4 inches (it is 12 inches without). My main reason to purchase it was for some closeup work underwater with a GoPro. The lens does not seal well enough to keep water out between the lens and the GP. However, filled with water between did not seem to affect anything during bucket tests. If you want air between, I wrapped the GP lens housing with two wraps around the lens with teflon tape used by plumbers and slid the lens on. That worked, as does a seal with petroleum jelly or a squeezable white petroleum lip balm. ... show more

  • No, no, no
Style: Polarizer Filter H6/H5
While the materials used are good and the polarized filter do a good job, the design is faulty. I am surprised how QC released this filter. The problem is with the lens being glued from outside frame. That means when you push the filter down to GoPro lens, the glass can pop out easily especially. The glue is very weak, it feels like honey has been applied. I recommend to apply a strong glue if you do not want to loose the glass like I did in my first vacation day. I ended up shooting with no polarized filter my entire sunny vacation and now I need to spend a lot of time processing my videos. I will return the item but , as I mentioned , I lost the glass piece. Too bad, as I prefer this linear filters and the choice is not great out there. ... show more

  • Poor quality and not recommend.
Style: Venture 3-Pack H6/H5
Cheaply made garbage. The filters adhesive to the frame is of poor quality, and would seperate rendering them useless and defective. I returned them and wouldn't recommend them.

  • Working with PolarPro customer service to resolve issue
Style: Macro Lens H6/H5
Bought this PolarPro Macro Lens for my GoPro Hero 5 Black. The manufacturer claims images will be razor sharp at a distance of 5 to 12 inches. My testing revealed that images were sharp at 3 inches, unacceptably soft at 4 inches, and steadily worse from 5 to 10 inches. Results with Narrow FOV and Linear FOV were identical. I'm in contact with PolarPro directly and have sent them test images at their request. I'll update this review once I have details on why my GoPro and this lens don't play well together. Meanwhile, the seller, Sam&Ari, has indicated that I'll receive a full refund if I return the lens via Amazon, even though I discarded the original packaging. ... show more
