Based on the past, I usually purchase a SUPCASE rather then the Poetic but there is no SUPCASE for this model. I had a old Poetic Revolution case for an older phone that is decent but THIS ONE IS great... I guess Poetic realized this cause this one is GREAT. This case is BETTER, MUCH BEEFIER then my Supcase for my other phone (specifically the corners have MUCH more protection). Poetic comes with two top covers... one with a screen protector (these screen protectors are not the best) and one which does not have a screen protector (so you can add your own glass screen protector). My phone and my wife's phone both have a SUPCASE and I used a blow-dryer to take off the screen protector, with the poetic there is no need, very nice feature. This phone is for my kid so I left the screen protector on and in a few months or when ever, I will replace it with the blank one and add a glass screen protector. The kick stand has a nice loud klick to lock in in place or when it closes (it was very flimsy with my old phone but I guess they fixed it on this one). I don't mind the kickstand cause nothing sticks out when it is snapped in. THIS IS THE CASE TO GET if you want as much protection as possible. It has a NICE lip, I feel very confidant that it will not break if you drop your phone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The corner bumpers are HUGE. If you want more information about this case just search (or youtube) for the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro Series and read those reviews (it is a very similar case but this one has SO MUCH more protection). Again, I feel the quality of this Poetic case is higher then past Poetic cases and even higher then my supcase (we use for OnePlus 7T and Samsung S21 FE). Reviewing an older model Poetic Case will not do this case justice. The only con that I can think of is that sometimes because the fitment is so tight that a glass screen protector does not fit property (I have not verified this). To get around this issue you need to find a phone that is just slightly smaller but I can not even verify if this is an issue but the A50 is 6.4"... food for thought. THIS IS A REAL NICE CASE!!!! VERY VERY IMPRESSED. This is the MOST amount of case protection that I have ever seen on a phone... much more then my old Otter Box case, much more then my Supcase. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! ... show more

This case was for my son's new phone. It arrived promptly & as promised. The case is sturdy & has a "kickstand" that allows the phone to stand both portrait & landscape. Only thing he doesn't like about it is there's a little port cover for the charging plug - he felt the area should've been left open like the spot for the power button. Overall, a very good product that I would recommend. UPDATE: Sturdy enough - haven't dropped the phone, so can't say whether or not it's protective. My review regards the "kickstand." After using it about 30 times, a tiny plastic "pin" that holds the kickstand in place broke off & now it doesn't lock in place when not in use. ... show more

So this isn't my first Poetic case. I previously used one on my Moto G7 Play for 1.5 years. Dropped it many times on a variety of surfaces and never broke anything. Screen protector works well including with gloves. For my last phone the screen tended to collect debri underneath through the front facing speaker hole so occasionally removing and cleaning was necessary. Poetic has now provided a solution in the form of a second front case without the screen cover so you can use your own or go without. But I must say I haven't found a speck of dust in the days I've used it. The port covers work but too stiff. I usually slice them off with a craft knife. This time I only cut the inside to loosen the hinge. Kickstand works fine. It's a reliable case and I plan to use it for all my future phones. ... show more

Got this case for a week now and the first one has a defect where the clear screen protector was not glue on properly so it was not flush to the phone glass (there was a bulging area near the power button). Amazon send me a replacement and it arrived in 1 day and this one fits flush to the phone glass. In general, this case is ok for the price and the screen protector seems to work fine without any major touch issues. I have not drop the phone yet so I can't comment on the durability or protection to the phone and I am not going to try to find out by dropping the phone purposely. The kick stand works pretty good but I don't use it too often so I am not sure if it is durable enough or to last. My assumption is that the kick stand may not work after constant use cause the tab that click into place will eventually worn out so the stand will not stand in place, just my 2 cents. ... show more

I tried 3 different cell phone cases. I returned one because it was top-heavy. It would fall over when using. On another case the on/off button on phone was slightly covered, making it difficult to use. This case is perfect!!!!! It's not top heavy. And, the on/off button is accessible. It's amazing!!!!! I bought this for my very first American smart phone! Because I have grandchildren, my daughter urged me to get a sturdy "box" for my phone. I also wanted something that could be a "handle" or easel either vertical or horizontal and this fits the bill very well. I have had it two months now and the only complaint I would have is the easel is a bit hard to get a hold of and pull down. I use my fingernail. I have also dropped the phone, not high, and onto a kitchen floor and No problem. I am not planning on dropping onto cement any time soon or from a high distance, but I think it would do the job and my phone will be protected! I highly recommend.
