  • This worked great for iPad

  • Exactly what I needed
Color: 5 Volt 12 Watt - Lightning + Data
I bought this PoE adaptor so that I could use an iPad as a controller for my movie theatre A/V system, in order to both keep it charged and to utilize the hardwired Ethernet connection. I was able to fit the adaptor inside a single-gang Wiremold junction box. The long cord and right-angle connector gave me plenty of slack to route the cable inside the iPad mount (for which I had to go through the wall and into the back of the mount, since there are no openings on the bottom of the mount I have). The adaptor provides Fast Ethernet (100mbps - NOT gigabit / 1000mbps) connectivity. For my purposes, this is more than sufficient. The adaptor also has two mounting holes, although I did not need them in my instance. The adaptor was a bit too thick to fit inside the iPad mount which I am using (which is actually for the original generation iPads, so it's probably a lot thicker than a newer mount would be). This is why I was glad I could fit it inside the single-gang box, or could have been mounted ouside the enclosure. ... show more

  • Really good solution for PoE on Lightning devices
Color: 5 Volt 12 Watt - Lightning + Data
My company deploys iPhones and IPads in commercial environments and we needed a PoE solution. We ended up testing both the PoE Texas devices and the Belkin solution. These PoE Texas devices worked great. Plug and play out of the box, even with older devices like iPhone 6s phones. They are compact and support GigE. The Belkin adapters did allow for a lightning-based power source (making it both a regular Ethernet adapter + Power port and PoE), but otherwise, it is at least twice as large as these adapters and only got half the speed (around 300-400 Mbps). I've already deployed over 20 of these adapters and they have really saved the day for us. My only complaint is the rather large 90 degree lightning connector, which impact some cases we used. ... show more

  • Works as advertised to power my ipad air 2 over POE+
only one complaint is the length. Because the longitudinal orientation of the wires, a straight line from the poe port in, to the body of the splitter, to the split dc and ethernet on the other end, it is challenging finding an electrical box that can easily hold the device even if using a 2-gang electrical box. Most likely i'll have to use an open backed low voltage box and rig up some type of retaining wire so the device isn't hanging off the POE cable and doesn't fall down the wall. ... show more

  • Works great to connect 10.5” iPad Pro to power and Ethernet.
Color: 5 Volt 12 Watt - Lightning + Data
This does the trick to power and connect Ethernet to an older iPad with the lightning connector. Don’t get the USB-C version. It doesn’t work with the older iPads.

  • Works as Described
Color: 5 Volt 10 Watt
I've always wanted a better mechanism to control the numerous automation devices in my home, and the ideal setup always seemed to be having wall mounted control panels; unfortunately most of these suck, or won't integrate well with my Vera based setup like the smart phone iPad apps do. So I decided that I would mount iPads into the wall and use these a fixed home automation controllers, however the obvious issue is how can you power these panels? Removing them to charge, which would be often as I have the devices permanently on was not an option. Searching Amazon I can upon this POe to use splitter and knew that this was the answer. Cat6e is so easy to run in walls and already having a POe network switch this was my answer. It works perfectly, never have I had a voltage drop nor the iPads ever fail to charge, granted they don't charge fast in this setup, but the small voltage passing through the Ethernet is more than enough to keep them at 100%. If you need a remote charging solution for your USB device, look no further this is what you need. ... show more

  • Great solution for charging things over CAT5/6
Color: 5 Volt 10 Watt
Used this to charge iPads over CAT5/6 that are wall mounted. Also used them to charge Ring Alarm KP. Great solution to providing a USB based charging point for items that don’t have power but have a CAT5/6. Very useful.

  • Important caveat!
Color: 5 Volt 12 Watt - Lightning + Data
This PoE to Lightning adapter does NOT pass data through if it's not connected to a PoE switch. Works great as long as there's PoE but for some inexplicable reason it doesn't pass data if you're connected to a normal gigE network. Super disappointing that you can't use it as a regular ethernet -> lightning adapter in situations where PoE isn't available. ... show more
