When I saw this bundle, it seemed "too good to be true" for the price, so I gave it a try. The cables, stand, pop filter, shock mount, wind cover, would cost more than $39 if you bought them all separately, not including the microphone or mixer unit. I recommend watching the 9-minute video review in the main post (flip through the photos and the last page is the videos). The product manuals that come with the unit are not great, but the video review discusses and demonstrates most of the key features. Based on my initial test of the unit, the little mixing board (or sound card as it is called), is underpowered for the microphone. Even with the mic volume, monitoring volume and recording volume set at the maximum, the unit just does not put out a strong signal for monitoring or recording. I tried connecting the output to my iPhone and recording the audio on my phone. It was a low signal that cut out frequently. It was not clear to me if the issue was the microphone or the "sound card" so I connected the microphone to my small mixing board (Yamaha MG82) and the microphone actually sounds good. Note: You need a mixer with "phantom power." This is a condenser mic, not a dynamic mic. The microphone is quite sensitive and needs to be dialed in with standard mixer controls (70% gain) and reduce the high end substantially. The microphone also has a very lightweight body and picks up vibrations, so the shock mount that comes with the mic is the recommended setup. THE BOTTOM LINE: If you have microphone mixer with phantom power, this is a great package for the price, but I can't recommend using the included "sound card / mixer." It is underpowered for the microphone. The microphone quality is better than what I would expect from a "very inexpensive" microphone. But works best if you connect it to a standard microphone mixer and dial in the settings properly. A few other important notes: - This is a CONDENSER microphone that requires a power source (phantom power). You cannot plug this mic into a non-powered mixer, or directly into your phone, for example, it will not work. - On the sound card/mixer, the "Monitor" needs to be turned all the way up to hear yourself through the headphone jack. - On the sound card/mixer, the "Record" needs to be turned all the way up to send your signal through the Live 1 or Live 2 outputs to a phone, etc. - The sound card/mixer is rechargeable and needs to be charged up prior to use. They also do not recommend leaving the charging cable connected while using the microphone, as it can cause interference. - The sound card/mixer also has a port for a dynamic microphone (not provided). I did not test that feature. Note: The manual recommends connecting the sound card/mixer to a computer. I did not test this setup and it may work better than connecting it directly to phone for recording or broadcasting. ... show more

I bought this kit because the reviews looked good. They said things like easy to use….not the case for me. I tried getting this to work on 3 different computers and the results were the same. It only captured unclear, muffled audio. I had my son (who works computer IT for a living) same horrible results. Maybe it was a fluke and I just got a lemon but I haven’t been this frustrated in a very long time. Consider it didn’t work, I would say the compatibility is awful. About the only good thing I can say is that the interface was easy to charge but that doesn’t do any good when it won’t work. I ended up better off using an inexpensive USB podcast mic I got for my daughter over a year ago (until I could upgrade a little bit but love the Fifine one using now) and Adobe Audtion. I WISH I COULD RETURN IT STILL BUT JUST MISSED THE RETUN DATE. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The condenser microphone arrived on time and in great shape. Packing was good. Price is good specially for beginners or as a hobby. It comes with a Q&A but not really instructions on how to hook the arm to the table, no instructions. There is a few pictures for each of the cables and where to plug them. My issue is the microphone doesn’t work. After a an hour or longer I couldn’t connect to the Bluetooth so I got help from an engineer and he was able to get the sound card ( black small keyboard) to connect to the Bluetooth on my laptop. Microphone doesn’t work, no sound at all. The sound effects from the Sound Card are fun but I was only able to hear them trough the earbuds with out them they didn’t project sound from my laptop. The sound was not a good quality. You can barely hear them. Sadly I will have to return. ... show more

The microphone, scissor arm, mic isolator (suspension mount), "pop" filter and cabling are worth the price by themselves. The microphone is good quality and does a great job for voice. and with my limited testing, instruments as well. It is cardioid, so when you point it at your mouth, noise from the opposite direction are reduced and your speech is very clear. The "V8" soundcard works great, but the documentation is poor, and you will probably want to go to the net to get better instructions. It was not clear to me how to hook this up to my laptop to record. (I thought at first it wasn't working.) You will not want to have this charging while using it due to noise. It is quite versatile with many inputs available. Before purchase I had not noticed all the special built-in sounds you can add, such as cheering, laughter, applause, and several others. (12 total) There are still some controls I'm not sure about. It has volume and echo, treble, bass, record, backing track, and monitor controls. It has buttons for Reverb delay, Voice change, Elimination, Crack, MC and Voice Over. I purchased this specifically for audio recording for audio books and You Tube videos through my laptop with Audacity, but it is also touted as excellent for live Pod Casts and audio/video through your phone. Definitely recommend this product. It’s a great product to kick off a podcast or recording videos. It took me a minute to figure out how to connect everything and get it set up as the instructions are somewhat vague, but once I got it, it wasn’t too hard to learn to use the product and its sound card. I was able to connect it via Bluetooth to my computer quickly with no issues. The headphones that come with the product aren’t the best, but I had some other headphones that made the sound pretty crystal clear. ... show more
